Joe Biden accepted the Democratic nomination for president Thursday night with an "enormously effective" speech that "blew a hole" in President Trump's characterization of the former vice president, "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace said.

Are you talking about Trump or Biden? I see Trump reading his speeches all the time, and its not pretty (repeating himself, mispronouncing words, getting lost in the script). Off script is not really better, though.

To do that, the seeds of division must be sown, and the crop blamed on the opponents.

I disagree. Some of his best speeches, like the UN speech about Venezuela, are from a teleprompter. He often says stupid stuff off the cuff.

Honestly, this is a tactical mistake by the Trump team. They have lowered expectations for Biden so far that he looks good when he just stands up and talks. Besides, as I pointed out earlier in the thread, even Fox is saying he did a good job with his acceptance speech.
 
To be fair, I think he did say “unable”, but his diction isn’t always crystal clear. Perhaps you’d be happier if David Hyde Pierce ran for president.

It is clearly ridiculous to say that he “flubbed” the speech. It was a stunning performance. Honestly, after listening to that speech, I thought, “How can anyone not vote for this man?” Shakespeare’s phrase “Hyperion to a satyr” comes to mind.
 
There’s a significant difference between allowing a woman to choose what to do to her body, and personally supporting the choice. I for one find abortion appalling, but it’s not my place to tell a woman what to do with her body. She answers to God for that. Just because Joe allows women to control their bodies doesn’t mean he wants them to have abortions.

You want to support murder of babies in utero, this probably isn’t the best forum to post those sentiments on.
Just sayin’.

I used to work in DC and cleave to that “Oh but I can’t tell other women what to do with Their Bodies” viewpoint…realized in my 40s it was a giant copout. Especially when half the babies being gruesomely killed are women, with bodies.

It isn’t her body that is destroyed by abortion. It is the soon to be born human being.

Not her body I care about. The choice about what to do with her body, and his, is before conception occurs.
