They are both older but Biden is almost 4 years older than Trump. It does make a difference. Again age is not only the factor but health and cognitive ability.
And mental health in general.
Not only did he flub speech, it was the same speech he gave at the DNC in 2008.

No. Answer my question. You’ve made an accusation without evidence.
I did not poke fun at anyone.
Well first off, back off the accusatory tone. Second show me where I made an accusation.

gam197 . . .

Wow! You are right!

I watched the video from the Twitter link you provided.

I could not find the comparison video on Youtube.
It is probaby there but shadow banned so it is more difficult to find (I couldn’t find it at all).

This is shameful!!

Not so much for Biden, but for the media.

The media has been laughably running around attempting to plant in your mind, that this was Joe’s best speech ever.

Here is political satirist Mark Dice with footage of the media here (propagandizing you viewers).

The mainstream media MUST be aware of this Joe copying his old 2008 speech in large part (yet remain silent on Joe . . not plagiarizing his own old speech [Joe has done that elsewhere] . . . but at least recycling it).

You know it is often easier for people with dementia,
to tell you stories about older things than new.

They can tell you about old friends sometimes, but forget who there neighbors are.

I wonder if Joe’s handlers did not give Joe an old task (a “redo speech” instead of a real or at least a “new speech” that would be more likely to confuse Joe), to help fool voters into thinking Joe’s mind is OK when it is not.

The media SHOULD have widely reported this in my opinion.

Amazing.

Like I said. I blame the media for not reporting this.
This one is not on Joe.

Thank you gam197 for that information.

Keywords: Biden’s recycled speech, plagiarizing, fooling voters, covfefe, 2008 DNC, 2020 DNC, Twitter, recyling a speech, recycled, Biden’ best speech ever, fool the voters.

I thought Obama’s speech was quite bad and poorly delivered.

As a past president he chose to be divisive and attempt to put complaints on President Trump that are clearly not factual.

More than that though, there looked to be a desperation in his delivery as if he might know what is coming down the line from the Department of Justice.

That’s all this is about.Obama,Clinton, etc all trying to save their you know what’s.They simply cannot allow Trump another term. The corruption is beyond the pale with these Dems

Context is key here, you kept asking why I said the first comment up thread, I directed you to the satire poking fun, posted on this thread. If you posted satire, then yes, you are included. If you did not post satire, then you are not.
Do us both a favour and stick with the context of why I said that in answer to your original comment

So yeah, back off the accusatory tone.

You are welcome

Joe Biden faces new plagiarism claim over DNC acceptance speech

That’s sloppy, Joe.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden reprised his penchant for borrowing lines from other people’s work this week — apparently relying a bit too heavily on the words of a deceased Canuck party leader during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, reports said.

Biden concluded his Thursday night speech by saying: “For love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more powerful than fear. Light is more powerful than dark.”

But Canadian media quickly noted that the former veep’s words were uncannily similar to those of Jack Layton, the leader of Canada’s left-wing New Democratic Party, who issued a poignant open letter to his fellow citizens as he lay dying in 2011.

“My friends,” Layton wrote, “Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair.”

Biden’s word play — delivered two days before the nine-year anniversary of Layton’s death — gave some in the Great White North a serious case of déjà vu. . . .

. . . Biden’s cribbing habit goes back decades.

In 1987, he withdrew from the Democratic Party’s presidential race in shame after he reportedly ripped off lines from UK Labor Party Leader Neil Kinnock in a debate — and even went so far as to claim elements of Kinnock’s family history as his own.

As a law school student in 1965, Biden flunked a class for repeatedly citing published works without attribution, reports said.

And as recently as last year, Biden caught heat for stealing lines from climate activist groups and using them, word for word, in his own climate change plan — drawing derision from President Trump.

“Plagiarism charge against Sleepy Joe Biden on his ridiculous Climate Change Plan is a big problem, but the Corrupt Media will save him,” Trump tweeted at the time.

Biden’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

It is my sincere hope that Biden’s gaffs will be as entertaining as George W’s. One of my favorites was his request that we not “misunderestimate” him. And then there was, “Fool me once, shame on … shame on you. Fool me… You can’t get fooled again!’”

It would be rather refreshing to have a president who can laugh at himself, like George W.!

Joe Biden brings with him concerns of dementia expressed not just by the right, but by the left, is silent on the rampant leftist rioting and wanton destruction, rape, and sometimes even murder by the left lately in this country, flubs part of a speech that was almost without question telepromptered, significantly copied from a prior speech, and includes apparently more plagiarism to add to Biden’s already dubious history of plagiarism.

OneSheep’s comment?

Let’s look at Bush gaffes.

Now that you got that out of the way . . .

Do you have anything to say about the thread topic OneSheep?

It was a public post…how should I believe it to be a private conversation?
It was a specific question directed to me by the person who thought I was accusing him or her. That person was not you and by the way, If you had read the entire theme of our interactions you would see where I was referring to the satire posted here in memes and youtubes, not a specific person who thought my answer to him or her was a personal answer. It wasnt.
To me, your retort was just stirring the pot and causing discord. That is how I took it. How was it meant?

Sure! There’s never been anything unaccomplished that we’ve been able to unaccomplish once we have done it!

That must be what he meant to say.

My vote: it’s time to just give up on politics and be nice to everybody. Look, I’m a Bernie fan, but now I’m thinking that he was just too intense. Let’s have a couple beers, put the differences behind us, and enjoy the sunrises and the joy of creation. And while we’re at it, watch the world change very, very slowly… for the better, in His time. God is good, all the time.

You can say that now, but it didn’t appear that way to me, and obvious not to @vz71.

The post of mine you initially responded to was not one that was in jest or satirical. It was a serious post about Obama’s oratory and message. Maybe that’s why your response didn’t appear satirical.

I did read it.
It sounds very much like an accusation of uncharitable judgement being used against someone.
There is also a retort back that the judgement applies to Trump as well.
Here is the specific post for review.
Its really uncharitable to poke fun at people because of their speech. What you said applies to Trump just as much.

v271 and I have been having an debate on another thread . So…

Maybe read with an open mind and without bias.

Again, I did not post satire. Let me recap. The topic of this thread is a news article denigrating the way a political candidate spoke/ presented. I responded by commenting on how well Obama spoke in his speech. Which he did, it will go down in history as a great speech.

You then responded with this
His nakedly partisan and divisive speech reveals the fraud in Biden’s, “accomplish when we’ve done it together.”
which I responded with this
Oh please. He runs rings around any other orator going at present.
you
Oh, he is a wonderful orator, in a class with Reagan. That doesn’t change what I said.
me
Its really uncharitable to poke fun at people because of their speech. What you said applies to Trump just as much.
then you asked
Where was I poking fun at someone?
I replied
Again, read the premise of this thread and the satire posted here.
Its quite clear I was indicating, with that quote.

the premise of this thread and any satire posted in support of the premise of this thread.
