Just to recap:
Bella: “Now when the Jewish people made a stink over Mel Gibson’s supposed anti-semitic remark, they just tortured him for an apology. Even when he gave it, it was not enough.”
I didn’t really address this earlier because I figured, what’s the point? But I hope the antisemitism expressed in that post was obvious to everyone. What’s with the “supposed” and “tortured” language. Aside from everything else, its a lie. Gibson apologized before the transcripts of this arrest were even released, if I recall.
Bella: “The Jews were all over him for it. But now it is turned around and coming from somebody Jewish, well we’ll see how much publicity this one gets.”
I think this has gotten a lot of publicity. And it looks as if Mr. Richards is Catholic, not Jewish. I’m sure that for someone like bella, that will be the reason it got media coverage.
Bella: “There goes Valke, trying to gain pity for the Jewish people…give me a break, and Michael Richards IS Jewish. I did not use this for justification of my favorite actor, but to show you that you are not always the victim.”
Well, it does appear that this misrepresentation WAS used as a sort of twisted justification for bella’s favorite actor. And, btw, saying that Jews take the position that they are always the victim, is just another way of attacking jews.
Bella: “Not only did the Jews crucify Mel Gibson while he made The Passion of The Christ, as soon as they had the chance when he made those remarks, they were all over him. When he apologized several times unmercifully, they STILL wouldn’t accept it.”
Crucify? I don’t think this needs further comment.
Bella: “Mel-Catholic- The Passion of The Christ
Kramer-Jew- Deplorable, despicable, degrading in public, on tv, sober. Wasn’t genuinely sorry as said on the networks. Now Mel was wrong also, but in Mel’s case he was ridiculed and tormented by The Jewish faith. Kramer was not.”
There’s only one conclusion that any jew who read these posts would come to.
Michael Richards made a racist, bigoted comment that anyone with any moral compass whatsoever found reprehensible. What is also reprehensible was how quickly people like bella tried to use this event to attack Jews.
