Don’t you remember the “beard/no beard” guy said “the bears got it in less than an hour” – when Sawyer was trying to figure out the fish biscuit thing?
Yes, of course. That’s why I’m so adamantly sticking to my theory of Dharma, and why I don’t think it was all Walt’s special powers as one of the above posters believes.

I’m in Lost Hell.

Until yesterday we all in the UK thought we would have to wait a while to see Season 3. That’s ok, we’re always (nearly) behind the US on American shows. Not a problem.

But today’s news is terrible.

Seasons 1 & 2 were shown on Channel 4 which is free to air, getting it’s money mainly from advertising.

Today we learn that Sky have bought the rights to seasons 3 & 4. They are going to show it on Sky 1 which is not free to air and would need a subscription to the cheapest Sky package at £15 a month.

So I am in Lost hell.

I for one am not going to be paying for that so won’t see Season 3 unless we either wait over a year and then spend a fortune on DVDs or we find illegal downloads which I wouldn’t want to do.

Sky did exactly the same with 24. After two seasons of it on the BBC, Sky bought it. They have now shown a bit on Sky 3 which is now free to view. You have to pay for Sky 1 but it has even more advertising than Channel 4.

Thankfully though with 24, Amazon.co.uk tends to drastically reduce the DVD sets in price a few months after they come out. So I can buy the DVDs, watch them, and then stick them on Ebay and get back nearly all the money.

But Jim, its the world-wide web! They have the internet in the UK.

Um, don’t they?😛

I still think that they are all in purgatory. With all the flashbacks back to things that happened in their lives prior to the crash! Example Lock (sp?) and the policeman he killed on that farm coming back. I still think that this island is somehow their penance and they are working out their salvation.

I thought he let the policeman go? He couldn’t pull the trigger, right?

Yes, we have the internet in the UK. Unfortunately only people in the USA can watch the episodes and I don’t know how to, and wouldn’t want to, spoof an IP code so that they they think that I am over there.

oops - now that I have DVR I tend to hit that fast forward a little too much - I thought he killed that cop!

I will say that at times I get LOST watching LOST but I love it and I still think they are all in purgatory!

I buy the purgatory theory! Everything is happening in an instant. Their lives’ are flashing before their eyes. If you notice, when they flashback, it has to do with past sins. Except for Hurley, I can’t figure his out. Have you also noticed that the guy that prophesied Lock’s speech and the hut’s roof last night looks a little like Jesus? Also, they are being presented with choices. They can choose to do the right thing or not.

SPOLIER ALERT!

You think Desmond looks like Jesus? I never thought of him in that way. What happened to him when the hatch blew? Did Desmond come back with new psychic ability–plus he’s making this weird machine to capture lightning…? He reminds of a mad scientist rather than Jesus…

Hurley has a history of mental illness, which suggested last season that this whole island was a hallunication. His hallunication. To me, it seems rather odd that Hurley was needed to tell the others that the Others had captured Jack, Sawyer and Kate.

What role do you think Henry Gale (real name Ben) has to play in this? He definitely has a plan, but I am anxious to know what it is. When Judith (that blonde chick who gives Jack food) brought in Jack to save the girl that Sun shot, there were x-rays. X-rays of a spine with a dangerous tumor…and Jack happens to be a spinal surgeon. Henry’s dying and I bet if Jack does the surgery, then maybe Jack could go home. (I am also curious to see what really happened to Michael and Walt…did they really go home?). I also wonder if Henry is going to use Sawyer as a con on the non-Others. Henry is a tricky one!

What are your thoughts in light of last night’s episode?

I love how Sawyer gave his commision off the $10 mil. to his daughter, Clementine. I loved how Kate got back into her cage, because she couldn’t leave Sawyer behind.

I think the implosion of the hatch definitely did something to Desmond causing him to see the future.

I don’t like that Juliet lady at all, and Jack really told her when she asked him was he “just saying that to make me feel better”, when he answered, “I don’t care how you feel”.

Well, I think Kate, Sawyer and Jack are NOT on a different island. I just think each dilemma they are individually faced with, they have a choice to do the right thing or wrong thing. When they chose the right thing, it cleanses their souls and perhaps they do indeed “go home” (Heaven.) Some have more sins, so it takes them longer. Henry also said they(the others) are not killers.

In the beginning he was looking at Claire and then told her to move down the beach for the night so he could fix her roof. I think he saw that lightning was going to strike her roof with her and Aaron underneath. That’s why he built the rod next to her hut, so that the lightning would hit that instead of her and Aaron.

There appears to be some kind of electromagnetic shield or bubble above/around the island. My take on the “capturing lighting” business was that Desmond somehow punctured (or maybe that’s not the right word) this shield, causing the weather to change. Or was the point simply that he knew the storm was coming, as you’re suggesting? I dunno.

I don’t think the Island is a literal purgatory, but clearly they’re playing with those themes.

Lost won’t be so sporadic this year. It’s gone drop around Thanksgiving so they can catch up on filming and then come back and play every week. I’m a big fan. I thought last week’s with Locke’s dream thing was kind of cheesy and weird…not very good, but the ones before were and I’m sure it will recover. My curiosity is starting to get the best of me. Its not a satisfying show to watch. More and more mysteries unravel and none are ever solved!

Yeah, it started with him mentioning to Hurley “Locke’s speech” and then Hurley witnessed the lightening thing. Although you could tell it got Charlie (and possibly Claire) thinking.

Yeah - I contrasted it with his “issues” in the past and not letting someone die (one of his patients and also Boone). Yet his “effort” on the woman seemed marginal at best. It’ll be interesting to see how it all works out with Benjamin.

Yeah, this for me is one of the major questions. Benjamin said that no one could find it. He also told Michael to go a certain heading to get out (where as Desmond sailed for days and ended up right back there). The compass didn’t work or wasn’t working right. Hmmmmm… :hmmm:
