Don’t let social media dictate your own choices. Do what’s right for you and your family.
Well, for what it’s worth, I don’t do Facebook or any of the others. This is the extent of my social media. As far as doing what’s right for me and my family, that is what I strive to do, always.

The human and christian thing is to love our neighboor as ourselves.

We don’t want to be infected? We do social distance and stay at home.

We don’t want to infect others when we go to public places? We put a mask on. It is not full proof, and we still need social distance and hand washing, but its is an altruistic act. We try to protect others.

Of course it is a duty to protect and take care of others, like ourselves. To think and act the contrary is very selfish.

If we think we don’t have to protect others, we more or less support natural selection. We don’t do something against letting people infected and die. we peacefully accept that our grandmother would likely to die. we accept that our newborn is likely to die from preventable disease Who care, they are not strong enough to survive it…
At least we are happy, no government try to impose soemthing on us to protect each other…Until we died from a preventable contagious disease… In peace of course, it’s life and the weaks should die…

I don’t do Facebook, either. Wouldn’t it be great if every social media site, including this one, would only let people post with a copy of their drivers license posted? Too many keyboard warriors hiding and giving out advice, lol.

Haha! Mine, too and I wear a baseball cap all of the time and I forgot to comb my hair the day I renewed my license, lol. They had me take the cap off.

Think I already said that.
But that education isn’t “don’t wear a mask.” It’s “wear a mask, but also wash your hands frequently, don’t touch your face, socially distance, etc”.

Yeah, and while we are at it, let’s make a law against being stupid. I mean, isn’t the function of government to protect us from ourselves? Mommy . . . daddy . . . .
I guess if you only have this one song to sing, you’ve gotta run it into the ground.

Given what I see around me.
That is a bridge too far.

People want to look like they are contributing.
The don’t actually want to be bothered to do anything.

Unless you want to somehow mandate good hygiene.

I don’t know where you live, but I regularly see people wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, and not getting too close to each other. It’s really not that hard.

Same here. We don’t have a mandate but I would say over 90 percent of the people I see in the stores are wearing masks, social distance and sanitize.

Look closer.

How many have masks that fit properly?
How many have embroidered masks that couldn’t hold back a wad of gum?
How many are fidgeting with it, constantly readjusting and scratching at it?
How many have the mask over their mouth, but not their nose?
How many pull the mask aside to talk?
How many have single use masks that have been reused many times?

I’m seeing this all the time.

The best one I saw was a man with a sweat band over his nose and a paper towel draped over it to cover his mouth.

I think a lot of this is more about a fashion statement than an effective mask.

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

COVID-19 hammered my home state New Jersey. We currently have
178K cases and 15,634 deaths.

Because of our strict mask and social distance policies, we’re seeing
a sharp decline in new cases.

To save lives, all public health measures should be followed.

The numbers speak for themselves.

@Anicette: The 14-day quarantine for New Jersey visitors is
unworkable. It’s a recommendation –not a requirement. Even
if visitors stay in a hotel for two weeks, they’re still at risk of
spreading the disease to the staff and fellow guests.

Visitors and residents should self-quarantine if they’ve been
exposed to COVID. But there’s no way to track them down
and make sure they’re doing so.

Yeah, I’m really not. Although I would have no idea if a single use mask was being reused unless it was visibly dingy (and neither would you, although I’m guessing you’re just assuming they are)
