I’d note the reason we don’t say “no pants, no service” is the government has mandated those. And no one has an issue with that.

It has not escaped me that we, the United States, is paying such a high price for our hubris and pride. All sin, even group sin, has a consequence. At this time, that pride is resulting in the highest death toll in the world. i do not want to die or see others die, but I accept that sometimes penance for national sin is due. Yet pride is a sin that can cause any nation to suffer dire consequences, something not unknown in Japan.

Pride is indeed one of the biggest sins out there. Today’s Japan is indeed one of the humblest countries out there, but that’s only after Japan learned it the hard way 75 years ago. Prior to that the Japanese were full of pride under the brainwashing instituted by the militaristic regime.

Now, the USA is actually NUMBER TWO in death toll, because China fabricated its numbers, censored all information and made those who dared to speak up disappear. According to one of the allegedly leaked document, the actual death toll there is somewhere around 700,000. And for the city of Wuhan, it is estimated at least 35,000 have died directly from the virus based on the calculation of number of crematoriums and their capacities, while many others died of starvation and malnutrition during the lockdown, because the government welded many apartment doors to prevent people from leaving their homes. Food supply was also inconsistent, leaving many without food supply.

So the USA isn’t #1 in death toll yet, but #2 isn’t a glorious title either.

Just went for a group run with 4 people. No masks.

Last year I was viewing a program on Japan and noticed that all of the people were wearing Masks…and I wondered why? Now, here in the USA, we are wearing Masks too! 😷
I prefer not to wear one, but under the current circumstances, the virus, it is a necessity! I am very fearful of the virus, especially at my age.
I wear one whenever I go out, but not on my daily walks. And if someone is approaching, I get off the sidewalk to pass.
It is sad to say that some just don’t care about the threat of this virus. Also, with the increase in the number of cases, I feel that all of us will eventually be a victim regardless if we wear a mask or not…does anyone else feel this way?

No… that is the daily effort and struggle for.If it isn’t for oneself, it is for those that surround us and are the most vulnerable .There is a purpose. That gives us strength and science is moving very fast to find solutions.Hope. Focus. Pray.
Wear a mask, keep social distance, wash our hands.
We don’t have your resources. Not even close.
I read you ve bought all the Redimsivir in the market. If it is true , I don’t know.
I sometimes think that there may be this sense of protection and resources that money gives that leaves room for a certain level of irresponsibility.
It happens here too. In a different way.Like above and beyond the law.

For those that doubt any benefit from masking here’s some real data about how effective or non effective they are
This assumed ones breath is filtered through the mask.
Most mask I have seen simply redirect the breath out the sides and over the eyes.
Kind of like pointing a garden hose at someone who doesn’t want to get wet, but doing them the courtesy of plugging the stream of water with your thumb.

See how easy it was to make everybody wear a mask.In the future Microchipping will be mandatory too.

I think the idea is fantastic. Let the government let me keep most if not all of my money, and I’ll do what I danged well please with it. I don’t need gubment-Joe’s money noway and nohow. I’d rather NOT have a cradle to grave, let big ole nanny state take care of me. Maybe if old Sam would get his little crawdad hooks outta my wallet, and everyone else’s, people would stop suckling at the guvment teet and go out and work for themselves, and for those who truly can’t, we’d have more money to actually give individually without being coerced into distributing it into the pockets of the elitist class to pump up their cohorts and business partners and spend it on foreign wars.

Nope, nope, and nope. I’ve got no problem at all with paying taxes. I’ll pay to rebuild the environment, I’ll pay to support public schools, I’ll pay for CHIP, SNAP, WIC, and whatever other government-run social programs are out there.

But if you insist on being so irresponsible as to not wear a mask and thereby endanger my family’s health, then consider yourself on your own.

Fine. Don’t ever call 911. Don’t visit libraries; don’t ever sue anyone; don’t use the banking system. Stay off the public roads. Don’t use money for anything; the only reason it has any value at all is because it’s backed by the full faith and credit of the government. Don’t buy food (its safety is regulated by the government). Don’t use medicine (its efficacy is regulated by the government). Don’t invest in anything (securities are regulated by the government). Stay home, grow all of your own food, make all of your own tools and clothes, pump your own water out of the ground, treat your own waste, and barter with neighbors for other goods and protection.

Or recognize that the government actually does produce a lot of good for our society.

Like figuring out how to respond to SARS-COVID-19, realizing that we all need to wear masks, and screaming from the housetops that we can beat this disease if we all act together and wear a mask every time we leave the house.

This is unfair. When the initial prevalence was low, and healthcare providers had no masks, And Little was known about the virus at the time, This made sense. You would think at that time, that healthcare providers at the highest risk of exposure to the virus given what is happening in other countries. And this is still true. What’s happened since then as there’s been an increased supply to healthcare institutions to some extent. Plus there’s increased knowledge about how the virus is transmitted and how to keep communities safe. Please see the Zdogg video I posted above That explains this.

Some masks are certainly better than others. But there is value to reducing the amount of viral particles you’re exposed to, to any extent. Again, see the ZDoggmd video above.
