Would you mind explaining?
Yes I would.
So, you insist that your position is correct, but you don’t care to explain it to people who don’t understand it? Because it seems to be perhaps a mistaken understanding of the medical concept involved?
Or why won’t you explain the fact that you understand that asymptomatic and presymptomatic transmission does happen, but you think masks don’t help that?

What about in the workplace? I work with the public. How can I (or any other worker) stay far far away from any particular person?
The answer is, I can’t. That is why I’m thankful that masks are now mandatory for people in my workplace.
If it pertained then you could find other employment if not working with unmasked people is important to you. If my employer requires a mask then I will find other employment. In the end that is always an option.

Hmmm. Which is preferable, public mask-wearing required, or hordes of people moving to a place where masks are required? Do you think that makes sense?
Honestly it would be a huge problem for me to move to a different city. Not to mention ensure that me and my husband would find work at the same pay. Uproot our children from school, etc.
Could you be serious?

I wouldn’t be surprised.

Freedom also entails responsibility.

In my state, if you want to work indoors, there’s really no other option. Do you have the same issue with being required to wear shirts and shoes?

A county north of me is threatening the same thing. But the Police, Sheriff, and 911 have said that they cannot enforce it or respond to it.
I think that’s why businesses that don’t enforce it are now liable to get their licenses pulled. Hopefully, they can put pressure on law enforcement to actually enforce the laws. But nothing surprises me anymore.

@RuthAnne, @EXdrinker,

How do you feel about bus drivers who die, due to covid? would you feel it would be helpful for bus drivers if the public were required to wear masks?

Or should ALL bus drivers who object to “no mask” people find new jobs? Simultaneously?

I said a different job not moving to another location. This does not pertain in your circumstance since your mayor or governor has made your choice for you, hence my preface “if it pertained”.

So, you insist that your position is correct,
No. I have a position. It may not be correct but I’m comfortable with it based on my research. So until I’m forced to wear a mask I believe the best action is to not wear one. I don’t need to prove anything to you.

The board who governs my workplace has decided that our patrons should wear masks.
If they hadn’t done so, how would you suggest that I magically find another job? At the same salary that I make now? In the same city? Some of us have specialized degrees and jobs. There are no other places to work at, within my city, with my qualifications.

Somewhat I guess. I do take my shoes off at my desk sometimes.

Pathetic. If they do not want to serve people with no masks then they should get a different job.

What’s pathetic? The bus drivers who are coughed / breathed on? And then die of covid?
Or me, who doesn’t want to get coughed / breathed on by the public?

Why do people not want to wear a mask ? Is it out of vanity or not wanting to be told to wear item of clothing and not been given a choice. If its the latter think of our priests who arent given a choice on there clothing and wear there collar i public and dont display vanity
