Why don’t you all let this thread die and see what happened in Arizona today?

Romney has bigger problems than this.

John
The Arizona Diamondbacks have broken their losing streak? Or is there something else going on? Please enlighten us.

If a person went to a church where the pastor preached sexism, would you say "one sat in a pew’??
Depends. If by sexism you mean the pastor reiterated the Church teaching on male-only priesthood or commented on why there are only male alter servers at the parish, then I’d say “no problem.” Give me an example of what you mean by a pastor preaching sexism.

Ishii

Example: Say a person spent their entire life hearing a preacher talk about a world beyond death where you occupy a spirit planet and eternally populate that planet.

Would you support that person?

John

Good points, Dejagirl.

Amen.

You’re right. That is all Obama and the Democrats have - Pitting groups against each other. All the Obama talk about “there’s no blue state America or Red state America” was just empty rhetoric. For Obama and the left, it is all about getting power and keeping it. So far his strategy seems to be backfiring.

I think a majority of Americans would agree with you. That is why I am confident that come November 6, Obama will be repudiated.

Ishii
I sure hope you are right Ishii. I do agree with you that these evil strategies seem to be backfiring so far. Our God is great and merciful! Thank you Lord, for your love and protection!

Oh, you mean can I vote for a pro-life Mormon over a leftist Democrat who forces the Catholic church to violate its conscience?

Yes.

Depends. If he was running against a man who supported unrestricted taxpayer funded abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, higher taxes and forcing religions to violate their tenats I would vote for him without hesitation.

MODERATOR NOTICE

This thread is wandering, please stay on the topic of the original post

It isn’t going to stop in this thread until the thread hits 1000. Until the story falls apart, which it appears to be doing in increments, another thread will be started on the same subject. It is important to some to attempt to discredit Romney in the eyes of readers here, and, while this topic might end, we’re going to see serial installments of Romney innuendo until the big Obama crowd comes in, closer to the election.

The main reason for it is that these kinds of topics distract from the real issues.
let’s see, only 443 more posts to go in this thread. What will the Obama supporters do next to discredit Romney?

Haven’t seen any condemnation of his religion lately. Maybe that will be it.

I do just keep wondering when the intrepid reporters who have been working on this story for a year and just happened to release it now when obama is on the cover of Newsweek as the “first Gay President” because Obama came out of the closet as the supporter of homosexual marriage he has been all along, are going to delve into Obama’s youthful faults.

Never, I guess.

442 more posts to go. 🙂

I am NOT confused. The “victim” himself is dead. All of the people who went public “lean Democrat.” The whole thing is politically motivated, and that is the most despicable thing about it, that the Democrat attack machine would use a dead man in that way, to advance their agenda. He is not here to say “Don’t use me for your games!” Or, maybe he’d agree to be used. We can’t know, but it’s not fair to him or his family to keep going with this. I hope his sisters sue the Washington Post. I sure would.
And you “lean Republican” so we clearly cannot accept your comments. But worse than that, is your comments that the man would either say “don’t use me” or “use me”. To you, it’s “heads I win, tails you lose”. The other option is that that the incident happened. You seem to reject that a priori.

Being, I believe, a bit more independent than most posters, I’m constantly amazed by people on both sides doing what they accuse the other side of doing. The hypocrisy on both sides is sometimes overwhelming.

Priest: You should come to church.
Man: Church is full of hypocrits.
Priest: There’s always room for one more.

Wrong. I am 100% a Catholic American. Period. I vote the way my Church’s tenets guide me to vote. As long as the Democrat Party includes the right to abortions, euthanasia, and homosexual “marriage,” I will assume that any candidate with a (D) behind his or her name supports those planks. Therefore, as a Catholic, I cannot support such a politician. Period. Full Stop.

I look for an attack on his children. Remember what happened to Sarah Palin’s children, the Bush daughters and Cheney’s daughter?

As an Inependent does that mean you can ignore Church teachings when they conflict your independent views? Do you believe there are proration ate reasons that would allow a Catholic to vote for Obama?

That has already started, and will only get worse. Of course, there’s Ann Romney to attack, and they already started doing that.

As badly as that backfired on them I dn’t look for them to target her again (for a while) unless its from another angle - employeement of illegals around the house or something of that nature.

I agree it largely fell flat. But knowing they worked on the “teen bullying” story for easily a year, one can only assume they have hoked up a good number of salacious stories and critiques of all kinds. They might not want to waste all the Ann Romney stories they have undoubtedly already cooked up.

Yes.

Pro-life is an interesting example. An awful lot of Republicans are pro-death penalty. I do not believe that is part of the Catholic pro-life point of view. Being anti-abortion is good, but that doesn’t mean being pro-life.

And, despite the assurances of others that the Republican party doesn’t want to get rid of the “social net” I do not see it in practice. Seems that making money is more important to them than the people who work at their money making companies.

Vote the Boomstick party!
Bruce Campbell for President, George Takei for Vice President
