I find you to come across as very arrogant
No no noā¦Iām arrogantā¦tenaciousā¦I even stoop to insidious baiting in order try to find out the truth.

1holycatholic, I think you read way too much into certain thingsā¦You are claiming that a pair of heretical seminarian buddies of yours will change the truth and destroy Christās Catholic Church.
Itās not going to happen.
For the record, this comment was never directed at you and I also said,

No honey, that was meant for me, not you!!

Silence in the face of evil is evil. The seminarians are now in the U.S. (where they will be ordained). Iām not going to report anyone to the Bishop. I donāt wish to do that.
Oh but we ARE evangelizingā¦donāt be naive to think that others are not reading our posts for answersā¦people of all religions, denominations, race, etc.Serap, in the context of this thread weāre not evangelizing Protestants. We, as Catholics, are discussing Catholic doctrine. My priest is also kind, gentle, and very soft-spoken. But he also does not shy away from the truth. He calls abortion murder and contraceptives a sin, and is clear that the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth.
To be perfectly clear, I know you do not contracept, and I commend you for it. But to be honest, your attitude worries me because it seems that youāre heading down the path of moral relativism. Iāve seen this before, with other friends who eventually ended up leaving the Church.I would be very sad indeed if you left Catholicism.
Now, Iām wondering if you could answer this question for me⦠I asked it a few pages ago but this thread moves fast and you may have missed it.
Do you believe that the Catholic Church was given teaching authority by Jesus Christ? Yes or no?
Stand on a street corner and yell that at the top of your lungs. See how many people you can win over to the Catholic church.Silence in the face of evil is evil.

I find you to be arrogant (IN THIS THREAD).
I never called anyone āarrogantāā¦I said āin this threadā to distinguish what I meant.
For the record, I do not know if anyone in this thread is an arrogant person. I do not know them. I can say that in this thread, they are coming across as a bit harsh, disrespectful or arrogant.I knowā¦I was just admittingā¦

I donāt think that you can read a claim of āALL of them think that birth control is ok and that the church will eventually change itās stanceā as anything other than formal heresy on the part of the supposed seminarians. The Church canāt change doctrine, nor is contraception anything other than an intrinsic evil. Iām not saying they personally think theyāll be the one to make an ex Cathedra statement in error, but the mere fact that they think doctrine is mutable and can change is a grave rejection of the teaching of the Church.1holycatholic, I think you read way too much into certain thingsā¦
People should watch me debate pro-abortionistsNo honey, that was meant for me, not you!!
Take consolation in knowing that many clergy have been against some church teachings for the past 2,000 years and the gates have not prevailed.I donāt think that you can read a claim of āALL of them think that birth control is ok and that the church will eventually change itās stanceā as anything other than formal heresy on the part of the supposed seminarians. This is what I am implying. I do not know any of you personally.
Good for you:thumbsup: One should never back down when speaking the truth!People should watch me debate pro-abortionists![]()
Do you tell anti-abortion protesters to put away their signs and stop their protests?Stand on a street corner and yell that at the top of your lungs. See how many people you can win over to the Catholic church.
and I would stay out of that thread b/c I would call on every Catholic, that was uncharitable, to be accountable for pushing more people away.People should watch me debate pro-abortionists![]()
Iāve seen you in action. You are one direct, clear, logical and truthful debater.People should watch me debate pro-abortionists![]()
Hmmm I didnāt remember listing as one of my faults being: āuncharitableā.and I would stay out of that thread b/c I would call on every Catholic, that was uncharitable, to be accountable for pushing more people away.
Hostility breeds more hostility. Kindness wins people over.
I donāt disagree that if what she says is true, then these preists need to spend some time in discernment. But your claim is very grandios and pointed directly at a fellow CAF poster. You act as if serap is trying to attack the gates, she is not⦠She is just a poster whom in my opinion also needs to spend some time in prayer about this issue.I donāt think that you can read a claim of āALL of them think that birth control is ok and that the church will eventually change itās stanceā as anything other than formal heresy on the part of the supposed seminarians. I once read a book entitled āAuthenticity.ā It was about the dangers of self-delusion!If one goes around throwing the truth at these vulnerable people, they will just bark and walk away from religion entirely..
Affirming someone in their path of darkness is not a kindness. It is grave omission! My good priest friend has a much more gentle approach. Heās kind and befriends people. He NEVER preaches or acts holier than thou. This is the approach that I find to be respectful and compassionate; turning a negative into a positive when discussing a sensitive subject about truth.
