I just agreed to be a LifeTeen small group leader. Needless to say, MAGA hats will be mandatory apparel for all outings.

I kept walking into the kitchen then forgetting why I did. So now I just grab a beer and pretend that’s why I did. It’s a win-win.

The only people offended by MAGA hats are Dems, and they’re not going to be persuaded by a prolife march, no matter what. “Trump hate” really is about abortion.
The Dems still insist Hillary was supposed to win the election.

A good one I heard yesterday, my daughter in law said America will never elect a woman. Without missing a beat I replied, “Sure it will, just never Hillary.”

Where does this lack of charity toward clergy come from? I expect such cynicism from anti-catholic sites. Instead of criticizing Bishop Foys for his statement, emulating his humility is more in order.

There are some people, especially some of African ancestry, who feel that the MAGA hats are pretty much the equivalent of KKK hoods for reasons that shouldn’t have to be even explained, right or wrong.
Their making this red hat equal to the hoods of the KKK is of their and the media’s constant reiteration… Donald Trump has NEVER burned crosses in people’s yards or called for mistreatment of any race. In fact he has worked hard to help all citizens of USA be successful… He has brought back the idea of the American Dream. Where we all have the right to LIFE, LIBERTY and the pursuit of happiness… instead of saying he was going to shut down people’s livelihoods… he has taken away regulations that stifle…

Why is it, then, that the majority of African-Americans believe he’s done a horrible job re: race relations?

Why are so many African-American communities in trouble, Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit and so on?

That’s just patently false. There are plenty of non-Democrats who dislike MAGA and the evidence is here in these forums.
I’ll try to watch closely to see if any do. Of course, some don’t admit they’re Dems but show it in every other way. Possibly those are the ones you meant?

How does it go? The last time, whites voted for the Democrats was in 1964? Why is that?

I strongly disagree with your assumption here. Plenty of posters have explained that while they aren’t Democrats, then don’t/can’t support Trump. Not everyone who doesn’t support Trump is a Democrat on the down low.

I agree with this. I think often, we see statements written and I don’t readily find them trustworthy.

How was that an answer to my question?
That didn’t answer my question so I guess we are even.
What’s with the game? I initially asked a question. You can answer it or you can choose not to. Responding with the question you asked, however, does nothing to advance the conversation. I doubt you want me to guess at what you meant by asking that specific question.

It has not seemed to me he has done a good job at race relations, only at ensuring employment for minorities beyond what any other president has done for decades. But “race relations” are often a matter of what the Dem media makes of them.

But 36% of blacks favoring Trump isn’t bad, and didn’t Hispanics just go over 50%?

Yes, historic lows for black unemployment. That can’t be bad. The Democrats did not really get the black vote until the 1960s.

And that has to do with that “great society”.

Well, maybe we’ll see someone who claims not to be a Dem who doesn’t spout Dem talking points in every other way one of these days. Until then, I’ll remain unpersuaded.

And on a Catholic site, I’m not sure I would admit to being a Dem either.
