Seems much more coherent and spot-on that the last rant from you that I commented on.
Please post on the content, not the individual.

You failed to respond well in the post you mention. What can’t you understand?
Don’t you get that it can be challenging to interpret the cause of a crying baby?

My cousin who is a retired Police Officer for the MPD posted that. I had to remind him of why he was promoted off the streets to his position that he retired from.
“You got promoted to save your own life. You own fellow brothers in blue had put hits out on your life. Remember you did not believe in the ‘Code of Silence’ and took down a few fellow brothers in blue”
And without fail, he removed the post. Just like he did with others. IE “Blue Lives Matter” after telling him his blue life did not matter to his fellow brothers in blue and probably would not either to the brothers in blue in the town that he moved to…

As I said before, protesting the way he did got a lot more attention paid to the issue than anything else he could have done.
How does it get more attention paid to the issue, when he can’t articulate what the issue is?
Most people who are aware of his actions also know what it means because it has been reported by the media.

How many Christians Believe in Christ just as strongly?
Even if it means really sacrificing everything?
In the same context as the picture above?

You would be amazed at the number of people whom if you threatened their life or their job, just how fast they would denounce Jesus in a New York second.

I suspect if you threatened Kaep’s life, he’d denounce his protest. I suspect if you threatened many a police officer’s life, they’d denounce the police. A greater number of Christians or religious folks would likely hold out longer than the other two. Beyond that, I am not sure what your point is.

The cops and military died doing their job. They didn’t have a chance to denounce anything.

In my family we have never bought anything based on celebrity endorsements.

Always bought the cheapest and used them up and wore them out.

Still have some clothes from high school that fit.

Cars were bought second hand and were used until there was nothing left.

Tell that to the Coptics who had their throats slit by ISIS a couple years ago, or the villagers in Nigeria. I have been told there are more martyrs in the current church militant then at any other time in history. Yet all I can do is sit behind a stupid key board, and offer up prays. Makes me humble.

Primarily because it is based on lies.

A black man is 201 times (not percent) more likely to be murdered by another black man than he is to be killed by the police.

Barking up wrong tree NFL players will not understand as sophisticated as statistics.

What do you think that this statistic means?
One ting for sure, it has nothing to do with the comment of @John24 that it ostensibly responded to.
Kaepernick opposes the disproportionate use of police violence against people of color. This is, unfortunately, a controversial position to take in this country.

Actually, it IS a response to John24’s remark about alleged “disproportionate use of police violence against people of color”. There is no actual disproportionate use of police violence against people of color. It is a lie perpetuated by people with a political interest in fomenting trouble and avoiding real solutions.

you’ve gotta agree that an NFL career is no small thing to risk.
He wasn’t really risking a career. He career was nearly over. He was about to be released so he played the race card. He couldn’t be released once he started the “protest”.

After he left SF he had offers as a backup at several places. In his mind he was a starter, so he held out blamed the league for not hiring him.

Then perhaps you have and can post data to support this view.
The item that you did post provided no support at all for your contention.

That’s quite an assertion. You’re asserting that not only is there “no actual disproportionate use of police violence against people of color,” but that anyone claiming anything to the contrary is a liar who must have “a political interest in fomenting trouble.”

Your assertion really does call for back up.

Got any?

That simply is not true as study after study has shown that people of color are more apt to be stopped and searched proportionally, plus they tend to get longer sentences for the same crimes and similar previous records.

We’ve made significant progress since I was a kid (I’m 73), but we still have a way to go yet, and Trump ain’t helping any let me tell ya.
