No, I don’t expect you to find my reasoning compelling. Romney saved the Olympics and worked for no salary so he should be able to invent a way to compel doctors to not ‘believe’ women who walk in to their offices reporting to have been raped. Makes perfect sense.
How is that worse than the Obama position that we have now?

Any candidate that gives you specifics will certainly be made a liar. Those decisions are up to Congress, who will dictate the specifics. The President can try and shape how the legislation comes out, but he certainly cannot determine the specifics.
20 million jobs sounds very specific to me…are you saying I should be skeptical of the projection? 10 years of tax returns also sounds very specific…is it your impression that the VP hopefuls were not asked to provide that? 6 trillion in deficit reductive over 10 years, similarly sounds very specific indeed…would the conclusion be that it is indeed mathematically impossible (since we all know Congress does nothing much, math included ;)).

Wow, you’ve really made me sit up and think.

Please connect the dots then. How does Romney’s clear and apparent dedication to public service as demonstrated by his refusal to accept salary when serving the public, comport with his ability to “invent a way to compel doctors not to believe women who walk in their offices reporting they had been raped.”

The two are not related at all. The first statement is simply a fact regarding Romney’s volunteer spirit. The second is simply a red herring. So it makes no sense to me that you think they are related.

Yes.

(FYI - don’t trust the political commercials either. :D)

You don’t seem to distinguish between promises and proposals and this administration hasn’t delivered on the former and is bereft of the latter.
Wow, you’ve really made me sit up and think.
Perhaps, but you’ve not gone out of your way to make it all that apparent.

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the real gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.3 percent in the second quarter of 2012, down from 2.0 percent from first quarter 2012. The BEA data also show GDP growth of (negative) - 3.1 percent in 2009; 2.4 percent in 2010; and 1.8 percent in 2011. In addition, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that the national unemployment rate is 7.8 percent, the same rate as when Barack Obama was inaugurated as president in January 2009.

This is the Obama record. Oh, not to mention doubling the deficit to $16 trillion while accomplishing little for the economy.

And he has failed to make the “oceans recede and the shies bluer” as promised.

How is it better?
It is less than what we have now. Obama embraces PP in a way that is beyond sickening. Compare their positions and expalin how one exception is worse than all out support and endorsement.

Yes…that would be a 1 million/year increase in rape/incest claims.
Truly most abortions in this country are for the sake of convenience. It is easy, it is inexpensive and our society has made abortion of little more concern than removing a wart. Make it more difficult to obtain, educate the populace on the actual ramifications of abortion, give pregnant women options and a chance to see their unborn baby and abortions will decrease. That’s why I don’t feel we have to hold out for a ‘pure’ solution rather than turn the tide and start reducing the number of abortion through supporting pro-life candidates.

I know how PP and its ilk present abortion to women…it’s “solving a problem” “taking care of things” “listening to your body” “waiting until a better time in your life.” They do not present this as “Now for what reason do you want to kill your baby?” I think most women contemplating abortion would be shocked with that statement as it’s been so long since Roe most don’t remember when this was a very grave and difficult decision.

Comparing Romney/Ryan’s approach to that of Obama, it’s clear while not perfect, between the support for legislation, the naming of prolife judges and the tone set by the White House, we can anticipate a reduction in the abortion rate. Obama OTOH is clearly on the side of making abortion an easy “solution” and preferably paid by the rest of us. To compare the two and claim that since the Republican platform and Romney/Ryan would restrict abortion to the most rare of circumstances, we might as well stick with Obama, well it’s just laughable.

The sad part is I’ve seen more than one make that very claim on CAF

(CNSNews.com) - In the face of a statement that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued Friday saying that Vice President Joe Biden had spoken falsely when he said no Catholic institution would be required under an Obamacare regulation to “refer,” “pay for” or “be a vehicle” for someone to get contraception, President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign said it is standing by what Biden said.

“Clo Ewing, an Obama campaign spokeswoman, stood by Biden’s statement, and criticized Ryan and running mate Mitt Romney for using the issue as a ‘political football,’” said a Religion News Service story published online Saturday by the Washington Post.

“President Obama and Vice President Biden believe standing up for women’s health and respecting religious liberties are not mutually exclusive, and they are committed to upholding both principles,” Obama campaign spokewomen Ewing said in a statement to Religion News Service.** “As it stands, no religious institution will have to refer, provide, or pay for contraception.”***

Why don’t I believe this? When was it changed? Why weren’t the bishops told about it?

Not at all.

Just another example of government thinking it knows better than everyone else.

Holy cow. I haven’t seen someone’s pants on fire in quite awhile.
