No one with any decency will post pictures of complete strangers who are African American on a thread that is discussing the policies of an African American president unless they are trying to make a statement about their cell phone usage that in some way disparages all African Americans.
Why would it apply to “all” African Americans? Is it because in your mind all African Americans are the same? You might have inadvertently revealed something about yourself.

Holly, I remember you voicing your concerns about this awhile back. I am going to say a prayer for you tonight. And pray this does not end up unduly hurting you and others like you. It would shameful in my belief for it to do so. You and many others in similar circumstances should not have to bear the greater sacrifice on your backs. God bless you and peace be with you always. :gopray:
Thanks Matt. I’ll be honest with you, I’ve been feeling some anxiety about this debt crisis lately. I can’t afford to lose the few benefits that I do get from the government. I am blessed by what I do have but if I lost any of it, I’d be in a big mess.

Like Lot ought to have, people who support Obama as he sells out our children’s future to unsustainable debt, likewise must ask themselves; if it is truly *compassion *that would have them sell out on their next generation’s fiscal future, or are they trying to show off just how good they are like Lot did, and losing all perspective in the process?
I love it when neocons flout their complete ignorance of their own American history to the degree that they can’t quite remember which prez almost tripled our natnl debt.

The triumph of politics and what Stockman called the “fiscal error” that went with it spawned a new monster, which would come to occupy center stage in policy debate: the deficit and the federal debt. Between the beginning and the end of the Reagan presidency, the annual deficit almost tripled. So did the gross national debt – from $995 billion to $2.9 trillion. Or, as Reagan and Bush administration official Richard Darman put it, “In the Reagan years, more federal debt was added than in the entire prior history of the United States.”

These neocons have mighty convenient memory recall these days.

Neocons getting as boring as racist.

Well, you certainly can’t call such people conservatives, because they were fiscally irresponsible. Zooming from billions in natnl debt, to 2.9 trillion.

They are neocons, you know, cheney and bush supporters, billionaire worshippers, warmongers, that sort.

I truely believe there is going to come a time when he won’t be able to walk out.The closer we get to Aug.2 the more he’s going to have to stick around. He trying to make the point that he is still running the show. But the reps.are going to force his hand. There is no way that Obama is going to come out on top of this impasse. There is going to be a compromise(unfortunately)but Obama will have to give up more than he wants. He’s in a no win situation. The debt ceiling will be raised because it will be to damaging to do otherwise. But reps.will get more debt reduction than Obama wants.

Back on topic: debt.

How much is too much?

It is as if you, personally, overspent your personal income, by 50%.

You can only do that for just so long until you max out your credit cards.

And then what do you do?

And WHY did the President walk out?!!

There ARE limits to how much you can spend.

Some people really believe that the President is so powerful that he has a “stash”.

You CAN blame some of it on earlier years. But if the earlier debt was manageable but the current debt is NOT manageable, then you have to cut the spending.

Mr. Obama wants to spend MORE … but he is promising future anonymous spending cuts … with no current changes.

Oh, yes, he will cut the military … but, now, even cutting the military to ZERO will not balance the budget.

And taxing the “rich” [in reality, everyone with a job] … by a few more percentage points will not balance the budget, either.

When the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, they REFUSED to pass a budget which is required by law. They were afraid to show the American people what they really had in mind.

So we need to address that President Obama refuses to discuss the debt problem in real life, and in real specifics, and in real time … meaning today, not next month or next year.

Can you, my friend, give me one time in our entire history as a free nation, prior to neocon george junior, that we lowered, or even failed to raise taxes during an active shooting war?

Are you a neocon, a hypocritical neocon, unwilling to pay for your own war/bar-tab?

Does your patriotism stop at your wallet, my friend?

Why do you intentionally try to offend people? Your opinions are fine, your method of delivery is not.

And now the “argumentum ad hominem”?

Here is a good source to learn about debating using logic and the pitfalls of using fallacies in logic.

It seems quite obvious to me, that anyone who has even a slight inkling of real American history, can clean the floor, then wax it, with any teapartying neocon sycophant’s attempts to rewrite history to suit their sick psychosis’ as expressed in the form of eric cantor, john boehner and grover norquist.

Where did the idea of paying for an active war by cutting taxes originate from my friends?

Think back, you can do it, just seven short years ago, a neocon idea, unprecedented in our history as a nation.

Seems like anyone with an inkling of common sense would not try to offend the people they are asking a question too.
