Listen instead to NPR on your drive to and from work. Editorially liberal, but not too much so, but it covers the news without emotion and accurately. I have no use whatever for the flatulence from talking heads, leftist or rightist.

If you don’t accept this liberal’s opinion of NPR, ask conservative Christine (Qui est ce) for her opinion of it. She’s a listener!
I pray my morning Rosary to work and listen to EWTN on Sirius radio on the way home. I catch morning Joe on off days.

Minnesota, Pennsylvania, a alot of these states are no longer give mes and Romney will win Iowa and probably Wisconsin.

Who is a famous American political commentator who died I believe over 70 years ago?

Will Rogers, I don’t think he had some great education that some people seem to think is necessary. He was just a common man and that was why he was so popular.
His kind are gone forever. All commentators now are agenda-driven partisans, either for the left or the right.

Guys, you can debate with me all you want and hold up signs of Romney/Ryan and make all the noise you want, but if you fill out this electoral map, you’ll see why Romney has no chance.

I was generous to Romney and gave him North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. And he still lost 281-257.
Wish I was as confident as you. I was at one point.

10% of Romneys charity is a REQUIREMENT of his religion- not a recommendation- a literal REQUIREMENT to be demonstrated in paperwork. And to me that DOES defitely change how I view his charity- at least 10 percent of it.
It is still his choice to belong to that religion.
From what I’ve seen, he gives that 10% cheerfully, not forcibly.
Yes, blaming the rich for the economy is inappropriate but so is blaming “moochers”.
Agreed. I don’t think people are so much blaming the moochers as they are blaming the current government for generating a moocher class.

Even the late, great Walter Cronkite admitted to being partisan left, but felt his duty to report the news was more important than trying to spread his ideology. I remember the day that Reagan was shot, the man was visibly outraged at the conflicting stories coming in and had a meltdown live on national TV.

I don’t even know who this Mika is that people are talking about.

I would not put Hannity on this list and he gets about twice the viewers of any of these others.

Mika Emilie Leonia Brzezinski is the ‘Morning Joe’ co-host on MSNBC. Her father is a former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski under Jimmy Carter.

Sean Hannity lacks objectivity like the others named on the list. He is an ardent conservative, but he strikes me as of average intelligence. Sean never concedes fault or error in conservative positions, not unlike MSNBC evening commentators. He repeats the same catch phrases over and over, program after program. He is no more appealing to me than Chris Matthews. I watch the program occasionally only because he hosts respectable conservative guests like John Kasich, Rudy Guilianni, and the very entertaining Ann Coulter. I enjoy ‘The Five’ on FOX News every day.

Compared to Obama, I’d trust Mitt any day!
You are on a first name basis with Romney but not with Obama? 🙂

Not trying to be snarky. I just think it’s funny how some supporter of the left and right call their candidate by their first name. I support Obama but he doesn’t know me thus I am not on a first name basis with him.

What states have you given to Obama and Romney? You could be totally off

Real Clear Politics with their amalgamation of polls; many of which oversample democrats has Romney at 206 and Obama at 201 so how your map could create such a victory for Obama does not make sense; perhaps you are giving Obama states that are toss ups or are a sure win for Romney

Okay. I trust Mitt over Barry any day! I’ve twice given money to Mitt, so I feel we have a friendly relationship. 🙂

And you might actually LEARN something (shock) from NPR. That’s why I like it.

My SIL is a total ideologue of the left and she calls Obama Barrack and it drives me crazy!

Did I mention I can’t stand partisan ideologues? Ideologue don’t talk. Their head simply makes noise. I think I did about a hundred times!!😉

I get more from the Rosary and EWTN Radio, but thanks for the suggestions. About the only political commentary I receive daily on a consistent basis is ‘The Five’. When I’m up late, I also catch ‘Red Eye’ hosted by Greg Gutfeld, also on FOX News Channel. ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ is often unbearable because of Bill O’Reilly’s enormous ego and constant interruptions of guests. Hannity doesn’t knock me out. I cannot stand the voice of Gretta Van Susterin, though I admire her style.

Or your selection of polls could be entirely, and selectively, partisan.
Posted a NPR poll today, and they show Romney in the lead nationally and significantly with independents. Nearly all polls are showing the same

UUUGGHHHH, Hannity.

He reminds me of a high school football player pining for his former glory. I just can’t stand the guy.

Sean does too much, I agree his tv show is rather repetitive but Hannity excels on the radio as the 2nd most listened to host. You really need to listen to his radio show not the tv show. He’s got a good show virtually every day. Ann Coulter is okay.

I don’t like it when some right wing extremists constantly call Obama by the name ‘Barack Hussein Obama’. They do so to make a derogatory Muslim connection that I personally find offensive. I do not believe Obama is a Muslim (I think he is a secular humanist). I also believe he was born in Hawaii. I’m a staunch conservative and card-carrying Republican, but some of these guys go too far. I refuse to wear a tin foil hat.

Ann Coulter is the most entertaining political personality I’ve ever seen on TV.

One of the reasons I avoid conservative talk radio is my desire to not get worked up. They are usually preaching to the choir (in my case), so mere mention of the latest liberal outrages generally gets me irritated, if not outright angry. So, I listen to EWTN Radio (Son Rise Morning Show, Dr. Ray. Women of Grace, World Over Live, etc.) and focus on Catholic thoughts. Sounds goofy, eh?

How many times does he bring his past into the show? I was a construction worker, I lived with five sisters and one bathroom, I drive a hybrid Cadillac Escalade …

I have to be careful. My fellow Republicans and conservatives might want to confiscate my (R) membership card for being honest. It is very tough being a Rockefeller Republican in the year 2012.
