Wow…

I have to say that I find it unsettling that people on a Catholic site are so invested in an election that the outcome will actually cause them emotional distress. I get people who have no faith in God being upset because they have no hope outside this world. Their saviors have to be political because they have nothing else.

We trust in God…not in men.
We do. Thousands more babies will die if Obama wins, though. That is a depressing prospect.

Maybe that means that God wants another solution to that problem other than the political.

No matter who wins, God is in charge and there is a reason. It is our job to discern His will in the outcome and what He wants us to do.

Ad hominem attacks are not allowed here.

Can’t stand McCain, TBH–he couldn’t possibly have been any worse than Obama on the economy and would have been lightyears better in other areas (no Obamacare, no HHS mandate, no pro gay so called marriage, fewer abortions), though.
errrr… he was clearly mentally incompetent to even make election campaign decisions. he chose Palin as a running mate. he dropped everything to guide the country through the economic collapse. he was a buffoon, and he has only gotten worse. how can you honestly say he would have been better? he was incompetent then, and worse now. did you hear him speaking on the news criticizing obama? he could hardly form a coherent sentence. if he hangs in there, he will be the new strom thurmond. When will the senate impose term limits and retirement ages?

That is not so easy to predict.

Health care for more people will save many lives. Mr. Romney has proposed eliminating expanded healthcare benefits, and eliminating medicare for the elderly, by replacing it with a voucher system.

If you admire the wisdom of this, imagine RomneyWorld in which insurance companies may refuse anyone for insurance. Now imagine yourself entering the phase of your medical care in which you will be spending upwards of 90% of your entire life’s medical costs. Now, offer the insurance companies your $5,000 voucher, and see if any of them want to insure you.

OK, so go ahead and die. Mr. Romney has decided that we can’t afford you. Our elderly are not a precious resource in the Romney plan, they are a burden which we cannot afford.

If you look at his plan closely, he is the most heartless candidate since Herbert Hoover.

And if he wins, perhaps that it God’s message to us that we must step up and care for each other because we cannot expect help from the government. Perhaps that would be God saying that we need to privately fund nursing homes and hospitals to provide care for those in need.

With the race this close, it probably isn’t wise for either side to start declaring victory.

Perhaps we could all pray that when this is over-whoever the winner is- we would remember to treat each other with respect and charity.
👍

For me it depends on the poster. Some around here command respect and I would never gloat to them in such a scenario.

If Obama wins I will enjoy coming onto CAF to savor SOME poster’s reactions, I must admit.

I will also eat humble pie if Obama doesn’t win. 🙂
At least you won’t owe me $100. 😃

I just watched Hannity,I think my greatest pleasure in the President being re-elected is seeing his head explode.

BTW, I only watch him because my doctor said to exercise and watching him and his frequent guest Ann Coulter is like running a marathon for my heart.

When somebody has on FOX in the workout room at my apartment complex I just wait until they leave so I can change the channel.

Ann Coulter- the woman who flirts with racism.

I’m a fairly conservative guy but I won’t watch Hannity. He is a partisan hack and makes no bones about being so. He’s absolutely no different than many of the people on MSNBC, except from the other side of the argument.

The big difference Hannity and MSDNC is that Hannity is for family values while MSDNC is for hedonist values.

Agreed to a point. Either way, I don’t watch the news to be told how to feel about something. Nor do I watch it to see someone play the “gotcha game” every time a politician who they disagree with opens their mouth or to provide cover when a politician they agree with makes a mistake or does something wrong.

It serves them ill in my view to have someone so blatantly partisan on their network.
