Here’s the subtext I heard from a nervous, blinking “Mittens” as opponents call Romney in print, a message Jews and Christians heard loud and clear: “Israel, Israel, Israel.”

Here’s the subtext I heard from a glowering Barack-ula, who blinked even more than Romney: “**Shovel-ready jobs **for vets to build roads and bridges.” That message workd four years ago but his record just…won’t…go…away.
Just saw this tweet on the CNN feed:

Top #debate line of '11/'12: G. Johnson:** My next-door neighbor’s 2 dogs have created more shovel-ready jobs than this current administration**

👍 Emperor, you don’t know if Fox commentators declare Romney the winner of the debate, then some people believe Romney won the debate? :bigyikes: I’ve come here to read the comments after each debate. And I can assure you they didn’t watch the same debate I did. Obama was the President tonight. Etch a Sketch just sat there agreeing with our Commander in Chief when he wasn’t denying previous positions.

A CBS News poll was just released of more than FOX commentators.

53% Obama won. Only 23% Romney. Obama takes 2 of the 3 debates.
Lets wait for additional polls to come out. The FOX focus group, for example, clearly thought that Obama came up short overall (weighing Romney economy points scored versus Obama foreign policy points scored) because voters care most about the economy.

I sincerely believe Obama is the weakest, if not the worst, President in U.S. history. He was the least experienced candidate for President and the proof of his ineptness is evidenced by his abysmal record. Four more years of continued incompetence by Obama and you can kiss America good-bye. And I think I’m understating the problem.

CNN poll: Wolf says with more Republicans watching, Obama still won their poll too. 48% Obama. 40% Romney. Someone on CNN said there was another poll of undecideds giving the President an even larger advantage. America apparently was watching the same debate I was. The debates are over. Obama took 2. Peace.
But his debate “wins” have not done anything to lift him in the polls.

The CNN scientific poll of debate watchers has Obama winning the debate with %48 and Romney at %40.
Ringil, are you trying to tell us Chris Wallace alone is not scientific? Now you know better on this forum. :tsktsk: 😃

Awe shucks; I’m sure you Republicans say that to all the Democratic Presidents. :blushing:

 I think you can kiss America goodbye if Romney wins and allows his bipartisan committee to run the country for him. Might wanna divest himself of his Chinese-Iranian holdings before then. It would be a nice bipartisan gesture for him to appear in a video with Obama condemning investments in, as he said, the number one national security threat to the United States. Treason for profit is bad for America…something along those lines.

Better get your lipstick out…

I don’t think he is inept at all, I think he is dangerous but knows exactly what he is doing. The guy is a Harvard grad and managed to dupe the American people into electing him president with some vague hope and change slogan, plus a healthy amount of white guilt. He isn’t stupid.

CNN states their poll of debate watchers is oversampled by GOP by 8%.

So even among this GOP-leaning audience Obama wins by 8%.

I will give you that the polls have certainly been tightening. At one point Obama had this thing in a bag. Right now it is a horse race.

I am hopeful that the President will win re-election but, at this point, it is way to close to call.

In any case I will be here on CAF Wed. morning. I hope we have an answer by then.

So far three polls have President Obama winning the debate, which mirrors what I saw with my own eyes and ears.

I was actually quite surprised at how passive Romney was. Quite an odd performance.
You saw and heard what my eyes and ears did too. 👍 I’m not one of the still few undecided but if I were this last one would have been decisive in moving me to the President’s corner.

CNN Poll: 68-21 people say Obama spent more time attacking his opponent
CNN poll: Can Romney handle the job as President. 60% say yes. 63% said same for Obama

I think most important poll number and question:
CNN poll of debate watchers: Who did debate make you more likely to vote for? Obama 24%, Romney 25%, Neither 50%. #CNNDebate
This debate did nothing to change the trajectory of the race. Romney still has the momentum

CNN just had this poll result:

Who did debate make you likely to vote for?

Neither
50%
Romney
25%
Obama
24%

Romney lost…again…and once more his investments in Iran have been exposed. Obama is still up in Ohio.

Watched all 3 debates…full disclosure, I am a Romney voter. I voted for McCain in 2008, but I might have voted for Hillary if she were the nominee. I like Obamacare (the concept of extending affordable health care to all - but not mandated coverage for abortion and contraception - or rationing of care), but the New England Journal of Medicine just published an article detailing why some physicians don’t like it too much. Anyway…

I just wish tonight that Romney would have given a bit more of a jab to the President regarding skipping Israel on the “apology tour”. I wish that Romney said that as President he (Romney) would spend more time meeting with world leaders in times of crisis, and less time hob-nobbing and schmoozing with the moral bottom-feeders (oh I am so mad) who “lead” the state of hollywood (i.e., late night talk show hosts… and also rap-artists who spout racial and misogynistic epithets like water - both groups, BTW are members of the 1%ers). Whew. Am I the only one bothered by this?..sorry, Netanyahu (sp?), no time to talk with you regarding Pakistan wiping you out of existance…I’ve got an important date with Jimmy Fallon or JayZ (or whoever else…)

Regarding tonight’s debate, I wish both men would have stuck strictly to foreign policy, and spent less time rehashing domestic issues.
