Thereâs a conservative in Vermont? Are you really going to tell me that it matters who a conservative in Vermont votes for in the Presidential election?
Point of reference, Al Gore never lived in Tennessee. He does(did) have a home here, and he might have visited in the summer, but he did not live here. He was born in DC and lived in a fancy suite there since his father was in Congress forever. No, not uncommon actually. Had Al Gore won Tennessee in 2000, heâd be President. I am sure that galls him to this day. You act like this is your first election; it is hardly a novelty.
Robert Kennedy did the same thing in New York when he ran for the Senate there. In fact the house that his family owned there was just a mile from where I liverd and grew up.Point of reference, Al Gore never lived in Tennessee. True, he does not flip flop; he says the *exact *same things now as he did in 08.
It is often said by historians that if Gore had won his home state he would have been president. I always thought it to be Tennessee but Iâm not sure.Point of reference, Al Gore never lived in Tennessee. Yep. Every vote matters. Are you really going to tell me that it matters who a conservative in Vermont votes for in the Presidential election?
How does it matter?Yep. Every vote matters.
If nobody voted, nothing would happen. How does it matter?
It casts your vote for the candidate of your choice, adds to the popular vote and shows that you actually take your civic duty seriously. Using your illogic, nobody should bother voting in Vermont. Even a liberal could claim their vote wonât matter, since the liberal is going to get elected anyway. How does it matter?
Exactly. If nobody voted, nothing would happen.
She had just turned 18 then and it was her first time to vote. She was so excited. I felt so privileged to go vote with her in her first presidential race. I tried to take a picture of her voting, and she reminded me that wasnât legal!Thatâs great that you support your daughter interest in Government.
If my daughter, one day, expresses such a desire- to put up a sign for a GOP/conservative candidate I would do the same.![]()
The liberalâs vote probably wonât matter either. So the marginal impact of eitherâs vote is minimal. It casts your vote for the candidate of your choice, adds to the popular vote and shows that you actually take your civic duty seriously. Vote!
I cannot believe people here just wonât vote. I grew up thinking voting is our sacred duty! I guess itâs because my parents lived through WWII and they experienced tyranny. It casts your vote for the candidate of your choice, adds to the popular vote and shows that you actually take your civic duty seriously. Even if your guy doesnât win, your vote counts.
Right, so no one in Vermont should vote. That will solve everything. The liberalâs vote probably wonât matter either. So the marginal impact of eitherâs vote is minimal.

Well see. This thing is a real nail-biter. Makes me wonder why I follow this stuff. It wouldnât say I actually âenjoyâ it. Really I just have a feeling of nervousness and irritation. She had just turned 18 then and it was her first time to vote. She was so excited. Sheâs gotten a lot more conservative, but she canât admit it and vote for Mitt.
Too bad sheâs not voting this yearâŚ
I think student apathy about the vote the year is part of what going to help Obama lose his job.
Its not really a nail biter. The MM would like us to believe that and Romneyâs people wont admit it for fear it will surpress turnout but this election isnt even going to be close. I also always finish a book, even if I hate it, so I guess that says something about me.![]()
I am guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of 320 EVâs.Its not really a nail biter. The MM would like us to believe that and Romneyâs people wont admit it for fear it will surpress turnout but this election isnt even going to be close. Romney is going to win big.
