Yes. I agree there has to be a reason liberals think the way they do and conservatives
think the way they do. When I was a registered democrat for 22 years, I was not a true
liberal. I can see that now.

Obama could just have well have said if you listen to NPR you are living on a different
planet than if you watch FOX news, but we know how Obama feels about FOX news.

And the planets could not be any farther apart than they are now!
Given how much credence Fox News gave to the birther movement, I think Obama has every right to believe Fox News is perfectly willing to promote falsehoods in order to further its political agenda.
I guess the same could be said about CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NYT, WAPO and others who have been promoting falsehoods about our president.
:thinking:Those news organizations covered the birther movement, but I don’t recall them ever promoting it.

Faux News had no such scruples. They amplified every crack pot voice out there - including that of the reality T.V. host who now sits in the oval office and plays at being POTUS.
And that is one reason Obama probably does not like FOX. They didn’t coddle him
like the MSM.

Obama himself did the most to give credence to the 'birther movement’

He waited until 2011 to release his long form, and technically your birth certificate is a requirement for his employment.

If he had just released it right away, it would have killed off most of the conspiracy nuts chasing it.

Blaming the victim is so tasteless. Why discriminate against Obama? - Oh right, he’s black.

No, it isn’t.

If you can cite the relevant section of the United States Code, or any other statute that provides that a candidate for the office of the presidency must provide a birth certificate, go right ahead. I’ll be happy to admit that I’m wrong.

But until then, I’ll say that it is not true that “technically your birth certificate is a requirement for his employment.”

No, it wouldn’t. They’d still be ranting on (just like they do now) about how it’s a forgery. There is no way to satisfy them and there never will be. We have some posters right here in this thread who still maintain that his birth certificate is a forgery. Even though the Birther-in-Chief has given up (although who knows what he’ll tweet out next week).

Because it isn’t about where he was born. It’s about something else entirely.

Where did that come from?

Oh yea, you seem to have a ‘racism’ fixation in many of your posts. Please stop inserting the racism boogeyman in every action by those you disagree with.

Do you actually think there wasn’t an enormous amount of racism in the whole birther thing?

It is hard not to see what they are proclaiming on the internet. They are all over. You can’t escape them. Sadly, many people swallow their propaganda hook, line and sinker.

So, you read these sources.

There was an investigation and a finding delivered on the birth certificate. So no one can deny that. They can choose to ignore it or choose not to agree with it.
Enough said on this topic. I am not sure why you keep bringing it up if you find it so
distasteful.

I will look at the teaser under the photo or I will hear snippets of an interview on a radio
program I am listening to. No, I do not read these sources.

Why does race have to be injected into everything when it comes to the left? Why?

So, you don’t know what they say; you are relying on snippets provided to you by Sean and Rush to make a judgement on what is being said.

The constitution states the required qualifications, just not the method of proof.
If qualification was in question, it’s reasonable to expect supporting documentation.

Mind you, I felt the whole movement was a petty deflection, I found it embarrassing to watch. But I’m right that Obama could have defused it much earlier.

Nope. The crazy runs deep. That’s why you have Apraio claiming it’s still a forgery thinking it will get him over with the Arizona Republicans.

If my curiosity, I might click on an interview, only to be disheartened at what I hear - either at the stupidity, vitriol or sarcasm.

Saying that it’s reasonable to expect documentation is very different from saying that it’s a requirement. It’s not a requirement. It’s just not.
