Completely off topic, but that little boy is sooooo adorable!
Yeah, I think it is a tragic loss. At least from the good pictures of Trayvon, he seemed like he had good in him. But I think he could have just been going through a “bad boy” phase, and being under the influence of marijuana didn’t help either. It’s tragic that we’ll never know how he could have been. But what makes it worse is how the media used this as a way to ruin the life of an innocent man and start a race war. I think if Zimmerman was guilty of anything it was bad judgment, but not murder.

And George Zimmerman can tell by looking at someone they are a punk and up to no good?
Martin was behaving oddly: meandering, pausing in the dark areas between the street lights, going on people’s lawns and appearing to be looking through their windows…

What do you think–suspicious behavior?

I think Obama should do the right thing and offer a “Beer Summit” peace offering to George Zimmerman the way he did to the cop that he falsely accused of being a racist.
Obama: ‘Honor’ Trayvon Martin by preventing future tragedies
“I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken,” Obama said in a written statement released by the White House.
I think a written statement is the most we can expect. 🤷

Which is code for taken gun rights away… the real reason IMO that obama got involved in the first place.
Actually, I think Obama has a bias against Whites that he got from all the years of listening to Jeremiah Wright sermons. The Cambridge, Massachusetts incident where he falsely accused the police of being racist was only about him choosing the side of a Black personal friend of his against the White man police officer.

maybe he knew he was being followed and was discerning what to do; get out of the light where he could be seen, etc.

^ this.

Besides, “looking in people’s windows” is not an excuse to be shot, especially not by a man specifically told by a dispatcher to not get anywhere near the kid.

The witnesses and evidence show that Martin was the one who initiated the physical attack. Zimmerman wasn’t breaking any law by following Martin. But once Zimmerman was physically attacked by someone who…
  • Zimmerman didn’t know his age
  • Was significantly bigger and stronger than Zimmerman
  • Was pounding Zimmerman’s head into the concrete MMA style
Zimmerman felt that his life was in danger and acted on that.

He wasn’t shot for peeping in windows. He was shot because he was assaulting GZ.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Justice Department says it is looking into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin to determine whether federal prosecutors should file criminal civil rights charges now that George Zimmerman has been acquitted in the state case.
In a statement Sunday, the Justice Department said the criminal section of the civil rights division, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Middle District of Florida are continuing to evaluate the evidence generated during the federal probe, in addition to the evidence and testimony from the state trial.

Are we discussing what he was actually doing or what Mr. Zimmerman may have perceived him as having done?
He had just purchased a and consumed a blunt otside the seven eleven in which he purchased two of the three main ingredients in a popular southern drug called “drank”.[1] [2]
He also had a history of theft, and he was certainly behaving in such a manner that Mr. Zimmerman was justified in acting as he did.

The dispatcher said no such thing.

I completely agree.

Actually,he was shot because he was pummeling Zimmerman ,if not for the gun,the outcome would most likely been altogether different, with GZ dead, well, there probably wouldn’t have been a trial if that were the case either!
