I accept the verdict, however I do believe jury’s can be wrong and in this I do not believe Trayvon received proper justice.
Good point, we all have a right to a jury of our peers, this was a jury of George Zimmerman’s peers, not Trayvon Martin’s as he of course, was not on trial. I do think a different make up of Jurors probably would have been deadlocked.

So your opinion was not “trumped”, this is the way our court system works.

you two can fuss all you want, but the jury has spoken, and no one else’s opinion on guilt or innocence means anything anymore.

How about Ann Coulter with her Alleluia?
Could an "Alleluia’ not arise from seeing an innocent man avoid jail. If Coulter was happy at TM’s death, the ‘Alleluia’ would have come when the incident first happened.

How about Ann Coulter with her Alleluia?
Okay, but what was her Hallelujah about?? I sympathize with the Martin family but personally, I enjoy seeing people who exploited this incident in my opinion for their own aims and agenda smacked down in a sense, I turned on MSNBC to see how they reacted and I don’t say this to be offensive to anyone.

Al Sharpton, Melissa Harris Perry, it’s difficult to find merit in what these types were doing, I’d add Nancy Grace to this. Maybe some of the magazine and left wing sites too like at least the Nation, I thought they were out of bounds.
tweeted out ‘hallelujah,’ because this was a media-led mob, and an innocent man almost went to prison for 30 years because of, well, Al Sharpton stirring up hatred and creating a narrative for which there was never any evidence and after this long trial there is still never any evidence,” Coulter said. “What George Zimmerman said happened — the evidence only supported that. There is certainly no evidence that he stalked someone, that he tracked them down and picked him out either because he was black or because he was wearing a hoodie.”**
Seeing how we have had a bit of a mob mentality and in some ways lynch-mob mentality, apparently Ann said “Hallelujah” to that.
Let’s make sure we have the proper context.

Could if that was the reason for praising.

I note one analyst, can’t find a source for this said this story is a bit like the one we all know, “To Kill a Mockingbird” and I see how one could for the sake of argument, make the case:

To Kill A Mockingbird, I believe that is where the young black man was wrongly accused of raping a woman. Here, we have a story were according to a number of authorities, George Zimmerman was wrongly accused of murder. Kind of interesting.

NBC doctored in most people’s eyes, those 911 tapes to make Zimmerman look racist, Al Sharpton, agitators were out in full force on this. I repeat myself, I think a lot of media people drove an agenda, I’m sorry for the Martin family but I personally enjoy seeing the “Carpetbaggers” get their comeuppance over the past 2 days.

Could if that was the reason for praising.
If she was happy at the death of TM, what would be the reason for waiting so many months before rejoicing?

As Broomwagon noted above, she gave her reason for rejoicing. Which was something that could have been easily researched BEFORE making an accusation.

Since your profile shows that you are a Catholic, are you familiar with the sin of Calumny?

Zimmerman was PRESUMED INNOCENT. It was up to the prosecution to first attempt to convict him of 2nd Degree Murder (a real fool’s errand) and when that failed they tried Manslaughter and finally tossed in “Child Abuse” as a Hail Mary pass. The judge DID allow consideration of manslaughter and clearly the jury considered this but their decision was there was not sufficient proof to meet the standard.

So he wasn’t found “guilty” of self defense, he was found not guilty of the charges brought.

Right. And the bottom line is this should have never even gone to trial since from the beginning the prosecution had nothing but imagined evidence, race-baiting appeals to emotion, and an angry lynch mob who wanted revenge because they see everything in terms of race.

here I disagree. I think there was enough evidence to prosecute and a trial was necessary for that reason alone. of course, the trial brought out the actual facts of the incident, so that was valuable. haters gotta hate though, but the facts take some of the lynchmob’s sting away.

“TRAYVON DIDN’T NEED TO DIE.”
Exactly!
• Trayvon, a 6’2" 175 pound black man could have JOGGED and outrun chubby, short George Zimmerman, but he chose to attack him.
• Trayvon didn’t NEED to sucker punch Zimmerman and break his nose saying “You’re gonna die tonight m*******er!”.
• Trayvon also didn’t NEED to then get on top of Zimmerman pummeling him with punches and slamming his head into the concrete while Zimmerman screamed for help that wasn’t coming.
• If it were me on the ground, I would have shot him too! If you’re honest, so would you.
• No, Trayvon didn’t NEED to die that night. But his actions brought it on himself.

I don’t think the lynch mob cares about facts. They just want to see a hanging of a white man.

Oh no, and one wonders why my bigest gripe is mainly with those that agitate? This could become very serious.
Witness claims youths yelled ‘this is for Trayvon’ in beating
Baltimore police say they are investigating a witness account that a group of black youths beat a Hispanic man near Patterson Park Sunday while saying, “This is for Trayvon.”
A witness posted the account on a community Facebook page, and police confirmed they are looking into whether the suspects’ reaction to the verdict in the Florida trial of George Zimmerman played a part in the incident. A police report on the beating does not mention the alleged comments.

Did anyone see O’mara and West on Hannity? They’ve made the rounds of the shows today. They were on the View earlier too. What was interesting is that they were asked what the most important piece of evidence that was left out of the trial was and they said the text messages that Martin made saying he knew he could win a fight by punching someone in the nose and that references to how to sit on top of someone to subdue them. The judge wouldn’t allow the information.

They also covered the knock knock joke and it was obvious that O’mara was not happy about it. West tried to explain his reasoning but they basically ran out of time to finish.

hmmm, what are you suggesting?

As a firearm owner, I would love to know an honest answer whether Z would have followed M if Z was not armed. If the answer is no, then Z should not have followed even while armed.
I would like to know that too.

I don’t see why Zimmerman needed to kill him. He could have used non-lethal force or called for assistance.

If one wants to speak about the “Right”,

Without looking it up, I believe David Horowitz, FrontPageMag wanting to see Zimmerman prosecuted, Michael Savage seems to have stuck up for the Prosecution and Trayvon too.

Rick Santorum on the campaign trail last year said this, I think too, he may have said it to sidestep a volatile issue so in other words, being politically expedient but not sure if that is a bad thing for while Rick was campaigning:
“Well, you know, obviously, I’m not privy to what’s going on in someone’s mind,” Santorum said. “Obviously, in my opinion, someone … has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this. This is clearly a heinous act. You know, there are a lot of people who have a lot of distorted views of reality. It’s a tragic, tragic case.”
“And my heart goes out to the parents, too. I can’t imagine what they’re suffering, losing their son in such a horrific way. All I would say is that, whatever the motive is, it was a malicious one, and a very, very tragic one.”
Allen West is another politician who came out pretty strong in favor of Trayvon, I’m looking for an update of his comments:
…a statement that Col. Allen West posted in March 2012 on his Facebook page. In his statement, West criticized the local authorities for their handling of the shooting of Trayvon Martin. West stressed that George Zimmerman “should have been held in custody and certainly should not be walking free, still having a concealed weapons carry permit.”
Of course, these last two quotes are from last year.

You don’t?:hmmm:
Yes, they certainly did, and I do accept that fact of life , however, I cannot be happy about it and rejoyce that a young teenager is dead from a gunshot. Peace, Carlan
Carlan:

I concur.
