Now if we can see our president dedicate his passion to ending the daily 9/11s that occur in the wombs of mothers across this nation.
Obama: "… his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity. Wow.

The death of a child of God is a tragedy. Like the poet said, “any man’s death diminishes me”. But I think we, especially Americans but actually all just men and women throughout the world, can celebrate the victory without celebrating the death. I would celebrate his capture just the same. That he was not taken alive is objectively regrettable but might have been unavoidable given the circumstances of the “firefight”. Things might have been pretty sporty.

I’ve read the millitary had a DNA exame to confirm that the body really was Osama’s. Contrary to what the CSI TV shows may suggest, it takes a few days to have the results of DNA exams. It’s never out the same day labs get the samples.
No, you can do it very quickly - it just that it usually isn’t that urgent. But you can do a DNA match really quickly if you’re #1 at the lab and can use all the equipment.

Why did the Obama Administration wait until the day of the Beautification of Pope John Paul the Great to make the announcement? The Obama Administration did not send a high level representative to the ceremony to represent the United States. He could have very well announced this earlier. Seems too planned for me.
I don’t think Obama was the first to hear about this.

👍

I will leave him to God to judge, and will try to force myself to pray for his soul. I will continue to pray for the victims of 9/11, and I will continue to pray for the fallen members of our military.

It is God’s place to judge Bin Laden. It was our military’s place to arrange the meeting. Sounds like they did exactly that.

While we don’t know the effects of this event yet, it certainly is a morale booster for many.

I wonder if Obama will release the Death Certificate? Just kidding 😃

You shall pursue your enemies, and they shall fall before you. Leviticus 26:7

I am so thankful that he has been stopped. And I will also be praying for his soul and the souls of all the deceased. God alone plumbs the heart.

Let’s also remember to pray for and offer physical aid to all those who have suffered because of his actions in life.

It’s a good thing to feel pity for a lost soul, for only God knows whether he was so deluded as to be excused of his crimes. I personally am excited at least to see something of a decisive victory come out of these drawn out wars, however small the victory in the larger scheme of things. But yes, it is sad that he had to go down deceived and stained with the blood of killings. I wish he could have been converted, but at least he knows the name of the True God now…

Interestingly enough, someone may want to check today’s LOTH because it is LOADED with war references.

👍 This is exactly how I feel.

You shall pursue your enemies, and they shall fall before you. Leviticus 26:7
Matthew 5:43
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighborh and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you: Love your enemiesi and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Did Osama meet a just end? It seems likely, but it seems contrary to scripture to celebrate his death. I believe it is more appropriate to celebrate the end to the terror this man caused, and pray for his soul.

even though Osama Bin Laden committed atrocious acts he still was a child of God…we should pray for his soul…calling it good news would be equivalent to an anti-Catholic celebrating the death of a pope

God Bless!
