BOYNTON BEACH — What began as suspect paperwork turned in by a $12-an-hour temp worker in South Florida has escalated into a statewide probe into possible voter fraud.

Elections officials from the Panhandle to Miami they are investigating whether a turn-out-the-vote campaign on behalf of the Republican Party led to an orchestrated effort to compromise voter registrations by submitting false forms.

I wonder how the Governor is going to handle the fact that his probe caught the “wrong” people!

These suspicious registrations only cloud the real issue. These are the forms submitted by underpaid employees, hoping to boost their wages by submitting phony applications. No, these suspicious registrations are NOT the real problem.

The real problem is that the Sproul employees set up shop pretending to register unsuspecting Democrats as well.

What has happened to the registration forms of all of these Democrats?

Shreaded?

This is what Sproul has done in the past. And has been hired repeatedly by the Republican Party.

The Republican Party knew exactly what they were getting when they hired Sproul.

So profoundly unAmerican and unethical, it is disgusting.

Voter fraud is voter fraud. Counties should be vigilant in keeping voting records clean.
Early this summer DOJ sued Florida over the states attempt to clean up & update their voting records. Has this been settled?
This is just one example why voter id laws are needed.

You make a powerful point that totally undermines the current spin that the party acted promptly to fire this group as soon as the allegations were made. Considering the circumstances behind their hire in the first place, knowing full well Sproul’s shady history, it seems more likely that they were hoping to gain the advantage but got caught.

Trying to police this sort of fraud at the polls during a major election is an inefficient and expensive strategy that does more harm than good by slowing down the voting process and creating long lines and delays at the polls. Not to mention disenfranchising thousands of legitimate voters who lack the proper ID. This is especially true in urban areas and is a form of voter suppression.

No. The solution is already in place and clearly works - giving election officials more resources to screen for these sorts of registrations and eliminate these fake registrations from the rolls BEFORE voting day is cheaper & more effective.

Of course, that would not solve the GOP’s demographics problems.

Fascinating that people who deny voter fraud exist is a huge problem suddenly believe it has scale

More evidence why photo ID is needed in every state. Maybe this will get California to change their law 🙂

If the RNC asked several states to hire a independent consulting firm and that firm messes up that is not the fault of republicans

I was thinking the same thing! Democrats who tell us there is no fraud are now pointing out fraud. :rotfl:

Voter ID is a good solution to these shenanigans, regardless of which side is engaging in it. 👍

An apologist for the GOP couldn’t have said it better.

Voter ID wasn’t necessary to catch this fraud making it a perfect example of why it is NOT needed.

But, there is no fraud, right? :rotfl:

Liberal logic fail.

I was thinking of Karl Rove’s strategy of falsely accusing your opponent of doing what you actually do. Like Clinton said, “it takes a lot of brass…”

If Republicans are committing fraud, of course they’d know it exists. Liberal logic. 👍

Which is why they support Voter ID…to stop their own fraud. I’m glad you’ve got it all figured out. :whacky: 😃

This occasion. I can list the many examples of voter fraud that was not caught, that people who were not supposed to vote did

Nearly 2 million dead Americans on active voter rolls
The state chairman of Indiana’s Democratic Party resigned Monday as a probe of election fraud in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary widened.
State law requires a presidential candidate to gather 500 valid signatures in each county to qualify for the ballot. Barack Obama may not have met it. Investigators think 150 of the 534 signatures the Obama campaign turned in for St. Joseph County may have been forged.
Group says it found 30,000 dead North Carolinians registered to vote

GOP says 5,000 non-citizens voting in Colorado a ‘wake-up call’ for states

As far as I knew it was only highlighted in Crawford v Marion County Election Board found that it was possible for double voting for somebody who lived in 2 states

Dead Voters Remain on Dallas County Rolls

List continues

Did voter ID stop this fraud? I don’t think so…
Voter ID is to stop the fraud that isn’t being caught. I’m not as gullible as those who claim that voter fraud doesn’t exist. They apparently believe that all fraud is caughtbefore it gets to the voter booth.

But, I get your argument. You believe that the only non-existant fraud is Republican fraud. 😛

If you have examples, how can you claim it was not caught? 🤷

Liberal logic finds your assertion self contradictory.

As the examples I have posted, it was found after the votes had gone through and the election decided

How would voter ID help someone whose registration form was shredded?
