The Papal States was not a democracy.
Ah one of the positive things about them.

Every administration is like that. People acted like the world was ending because Trump was elected, just like people did with Obama. They condemned foreign intervention when Bush did it but with Obama it was ‘humanitarian intervention.’

If the rioters do not want to risk getting shot, maybe they should behave themselves.

Seriously?
I don’t see how Trump is supporting abortion law which Democrats do out in the open and that is aborting about half of all newly conceived African Americans, sees 12% of the population getting 33% of all abortions. Those amounts are so high, I won’t go further to describe what word is used or more data on it.

I will go with real results, not some card stacking of words uttered by the Atlantic. There are plenty of African Americans that attest to the positives of what Trump has done.

The problem is that Democrats have only some race card to play and nothing else, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Minneapolis certainly are not getting better.

Anyone can find anything on about anyone and claim they are racist.

Black and Hispanic unemployment have been at historic lows under Trump, black small business has grown at its best rate under Trump too.

Tough to argue the case for pro-life, when all that is considered is pro-birth.
Yes. I think we’re all aware of this particular excuse for killing children. Other societies have had other excuses for it. Carthaginian child sacrifice for financial success being one of the more prominent and similar to today’s. One big problem with it is the pro–death ASSUMPTION that prolife people don’t support the living. In my part of the world, the ONLY support for women at risk of abortion is Catholic Charities and some Evangelical groups.

Pretty small stuff compared to supporting abortion, wouldn’t you say?
Yes. But Trump also supports abortion in the cases of rape and incest. That’s murder too, isn’t it?

He isn’t even pro-birth.

Tough for those who support the Democrats to make a real argument, when Democrat politicians are supporting abortion law that aborts about half of the African American newly conceived population.

“all that is considered is pro-birth.”

Opinion, nothing more, Nothing says he is nothing but pro-birth, in fact, the monies poured into the inner city indicates he is interested in them post-birth, historic low rates of unemployment demonstrate interest that is pro-birth. So, this assumption is a falsehood and in turn, are we actually, rationalizing abortion? Good heavens.

If one has supported Democrat politicians who in turn support Planned Parenthood and abortion law, perhaps, just perhaps, they have done worse than Trump. Imagine that.

He moves the needle in the right direction. Maybe when the nation has shifted so far to the right that Trump represents the only acceptable leftist position on abortion we can part ways.

A prior poster said they were asked to clear out at 3:00 p.m. for the presidential visit. Happens in every airport and other venue visited by every president since at least Harry Truman. They wouldn’t, and so the police forced them to move just as they would have cleared a tarmac where Air Force One was landing.

I said he’s CLOSER to being Catholic than Biden. I didn’t say he’s totally there, at least not yet. But he’s moving in the right direction while Biden is moving even farther away from the Church.

If that’s actually the case, why would it matter?

Trump would have disrupted their constitutional right of free assembly for a photo op.

If Trump wants to visit a site, he doesn’t get to tear gas people who are there peacefully protesting. Their constitutional right to free assembly ALWAYS overrides the president’s desire for a photo op.

Surely you must think there are limits to presidential power, right? What if they refused to moved after being gassed? . . .

I was once out at a state park when President Barak Obama was in Minneapolis, his motorcade and all was late as well. I’m sure people have had experience on freeways when Presidents are in town. Everywhere and I mean everywhere is blocked off. Everywhere was blocked off at least for 90 minutes and there was law enforcement at the overpasses and law enforcement not allowing anyone nearby.

This shows what a big nothing burger this story is.

Very good posting to bring this too light.

I used to work in Manhattan and have seen dozens of motorcades with various presidents over time.

Very annoying at rush hour

I was never tear gassed before.

The image of tear gassing people in order to take a picture at a Church is very baffling.

That wasn’t correct. The protestors were told there was a curfew imposed at 7pm. The tear gassing began before 7.

Innocent, peaceful protestors were tear gassed for Mr. Trump’s convenience.
