If that is true, then your angst is misplaced. You should be concurrent in blaming the instigators in the midst of the assembly for causing this. (as Trump has). You should be angry at the instigators as it is they who put everyone in this situation.
I am not defending the agitators or the violent protesters, They are wrong.

However, the police are using the cry “violent protesters” to attack largely peaceful crowds.

Here’s the thing - if a few “violent protesters” can cause police to declare a valid 1st amendment protest violent and unlawful, what’s to stop the authority being protested against from sending in a few agitators and stopping the Constitutionally-protected protest?
Apples and Oranges… All Law abiding gun owners are not actively involved at the time of illegal crimes. As such, your analogy is disingenuous.
Call it a stretch, not meaning to be disingenuous. But, it’s the same thing - the Bill of Rights applies broadly, and the government can not limit those rights for it’s own convenience or nefarious purposes.

By the way, apparently a federal civil rights lawsuit was filed Wednesday against Trump, Barr, et al over the clearing of the Square.

The Park Police statement about projectiles and the statement from Barr yesterday that he didn’t issue “tactical” orders to anyone to do anything should be looked at through that lens. They are getting their defenses straight.

AG Barr is now denying he gave the order to clear the square, contradicting the White House itself. Fingers pointed?

What would you do to end abortion?
If you’re serious about what actually could end abortion, I’ll tell you what would. If Catholics in the U.S., without exception punished the abortion party with zero votes for two presidential election cycles, the Dem party would abandon its stubborn defense of abortion like a hot potato.

That actually would work. But the abortion promotors have Catholics mesmerized into voting against their own religion and their own souls. They’re very good at it, and have been at it for a long time.

I’m sorry to see that you effectively ignored the content of my post.

A loser. But it will make them feel virtuous and bring money into the coffers to fund the lawsuit.
largely peaceful crowds
“largely” That means “not” if you’re the recipient of the bricks and bottles.

Perhaps I misunderstood it. Maybe this response is better. I would not do any of those things. I would do just what I’m doing. I never support abortion-supporting candidates. I do support prolife candidates. I very strongly support Catholic Charities “Lifehouse” by word, action and contribution. I support the Sisters of life by word and contribution.

I have never been in a protest and have no expectation of ever doing so. Pro-abortion forces won’t pay any attention to that. My approach is to do what I can to remove them from office.

You would never protest abortion? Do you feel that the March for Life is a waste of time? Do you feel that those who protest outside abortion clinics are wasting their time?

No I don’t think either is a waste of time for the ones who participate. But they’re not my way.

So basically don’t vote. Both parties support abortion. One may not do it in their party platform documents, but they do it by putting forward people who are in favor of abortions in selected situations.

Both parties do not support abortion. You know that. Look at National Right to Life’s statistics on the voting records of Rep;ubs and Dems. The Dems are all pro-abortion and virtually all Repubs vote prolife. Interestingly, the Naitonal Abortion Rights League stats say the same thing almost without exception.

If you want to defend abortion on its own “merits”, do so. I don’t think you can, but honesty demands that if you want to defend voting for abortion politicians you do it straight up.

You support Trump who supports abortion. When you stop supporting Trump because you disagree with his stand on abortion, we can talk.

You support Trump who supports abortion.
I support Trump despite the fact that he has two flaws in his otherwise prolife stance. He has not done anything to promote abortion and has done much to prevent it. This is nowhere near what your candidate espouses. He says he’ll do away with the Hyde Amendment and I’m sure he means it. He’ll reinstate the HHS Mandate that forces Catholic institutions to provide abortifacients to their employees.

I disagree with Trump’s position that he would not oppose abortion in cases of rape or incest. But he has done nothing to actually implement that as policy.

As long as you identify talk with action, you’re right, there is no purpose in our discussing this. But I am not going to just let it go when you promote voting pro-abortion, as I do not want to see this position advocated without response.

But you will still vote for a man who personally supports abortion.

I will vote for Trump because his every action so far is against abortion. If he personally thinks it should be allowed in cases of rape and incest alone, I don’t have a complaint as long as he doesn’t impose that. You really can’t excuse a vote for real abortion promoting candidates by wrongly accusing me of it.

Yes. So your next question is…
I don’t think I have a next question. But if you respect pro-life protestors, I’m not clear on why you don’t seem to respect the majority of these protestors enough to believe they shouldn’t be “dominated.”

It’s okay. You can vote for anyone you want to based on whatever criteria you think is important. I really don’t think someone is evil because of who they vote for, nor do I think they are supporting evil based on who they vote for. But that puts me in a minority here.

I thought one argument for Trump was he does not support abortion
