Thank you for your continued prayers.

John did not get the greatest of news concerning his back. They don’t want to do any surgery on it, just physical therapy, which he has done many times before. I did some research and found that people who suffer from severe depression and/or bipolar disorder can have chronic aches and pains which sometimes cannot be explained due to the disorder. I have put in a request for an appointment at a regional clinic and they will be contacting John in a few days with more details. I pray that this will help John, he gets so down when he’s told that there is nothing different that he can do. He is in pain everyday and his right leg and foot are numb most of the time but the MRI didn’t show anything that the doctors were alarmed about. They will give him another epidermal steriod shot in his spine and he has to continue therapy. I was hoping that this time they would do something different, but I will keep praying and keep trying to help him to stay positive.

I pray that all of you will experience the true meaning of Christmas and the joyful event of the birth of our Lord. May you all be blest this advent season.:signofcross:

Continuing prayers for you and John, Cassie: I sorry for the difficult times you’re both going through at the moment. I hope you both will find solace in this, the lead-up to the Nativity of Our Lord (and peace on His Birthday). Warmest wishes from the bottom of my heart! :console:

God bless. :gopray:

Praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I am so deeply sorry for both of your suffering. I will continue to pray for you.

Your prayers continue to be appreciated, I thank you.

I know that your prayers have helped both John and I and today I ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers, we both are feeling down and John is actually feeling suicidal. I don’t know what to do except pray because I am scared. I had signed him up for a free class on back disorders with a doctor and John was excited to go except that I had the days wrong and it was yesterday not today. He now thinks that it’s pointless and that he should just go back to work or just do himself in. I went and talked to him on my lunch break and he said he’s not mad at me, but I still feel like I let him down. I pray that he will not defeat him. I know that I am not responsible for how John feels but it is hard not to feel this way. I know that this is a rough patch right now and that neither John or I are alone, God is with us. May God Bless You!

Cassie, John is facing challenges to his salvation, and your shared cross is clearly in front of both of you. I will continue to pray for you, and I urge you to reach out for all the help you believe he needs.

Dear Cassie,

I’m so sorry to hear of the hard time you’re going through… I’ve just lit a candle (virtual, but a candle nonetheless) for both you and John. Here it is:

It will burn for two whole days. 🙂

I pray that God may heal John’s back and lift his depression, as well as for the strengthening of your relationship with him. I think about you often and keep remembering that God is indeed with *both *of you. We have His Word for it. :console:

Best wishes from Ireland…

God bless,
Siobhán. :hug1:

Praying for you, John and family that things will proceed in a positive way, for his health and all concerns. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Thank you for your continued prayers.

John and I have been moving foward slowly in a positive way. We have both changed and we both know it. I still struggle every now and then with past hurts but it is usually brief and it’s in the past, nothing that I or John can do about it now. John has an appointment after New Year’s to see a specialist about his depression/ bipolar disorder ( not sure which it is that’s why he’s going). We are coming to appreciate the other more than we use to. God has been working with both of us and it hasn’t been easy. John and I may not be anything more than friends, but I continue to have faith and hope and trust in the Lord that He knows what is best for the both of us. I have not given up on seeing my therapist, it continues to help me. I continue to pray for all here on the forum especially those who are suffering. May the birth of Our Savior bring joy and peace to all.

God Bless,
Cassie

HEALING AND RENEWAL
Lord Jesus Christ,
most Holy Redeemer,
you make all things new.
Your word promises:
Whoever is in Christ has become a new creation.
The old has passed away;
behold the new has come.
Renew us, and heal us with your love.
Make new my mind:
let me see life and death,
time and eternity,
this world and beyond,
with the eyes of faith.
Make new my will:
let me walk more loyally
in the way of your commandments.
Renew us, and heal us with your love.
Make new my heart:
let me love your truly
and love others for your sake.
Make new, Lord Jesus, my whole life:
let there be no more sin,
no more compromise,
but only devotion to you.
Renew us, and heal us with your love.
I bring to you, dearest Lord,
my life and it is, my hopes and dreams,
my struggles and pains,
my fears, anxieties and addictions,
my hurts, my talents,
my achievements, my disappointments
and my sickness.
I bring to you all whom I love.
I entrust all to you
and with confident faith I take heart;
for you make all things new.
Renew us, and heal us with your love.

Amen.

I know it’s late where I’m writing from, but I’d like to wish you, John and all your loved ones a peaceful and safe Christmas, Cass. Thought of you at Mass today and continuing to remember you and your intentions in prayer, particularly John. God bless you today, as we all celebrate the birthday of His Son in Bethlehem, the House of Bread…the Bread of Life. (I always love thinking of the literal meaning of Bethlehem and how it fits into Christ’s Last Supper and Passion so perfectly!!) So I hope you’ll be full of His bread, physically and spiritually, when you go to bed at the end of the day.

Happy Christmas and God bless!

Love,
Siobhán. xx
