Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed by Thy name
Thy kingdom come Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!

John has been on his medication now for 4 months and is seeing some stability in his mood swings. He has been laid off of work since the middle of May, but has been keeping busy at home. I continue to be working so there is some income coming into the home. We are not stretched for money, we having been watching how and what we spend it on since we do not know when John will be going back to work. We both continue to have health insurance which has been a great help in paying for John’s appointments and his meds.

We continue to grow closer together and John has been talking about a future together again. I have not pushed for remarriage, but it is something that I would like, but only if it is God’s will.

I went to see my mom during the 4th of July and she is doing well. My dad’s birthday would have been July 3rd so the family had a BBQ and all of the grandkids released balloons because they wanted to give grandpa something for his birthday, it was a very moving moment for all of us. Later we sat around and told stories about our dad and even had a few laughs. There are times when it doesn’t seem real that he is gone, but I know that he is in a better place looking down on all of us.

I know that I have not been very good this summer in posting, but please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I live in a rural community and as of right now the crops are looking great and the farmers are praying for a good harvest this fall. I have been busy with my job ( I work in the agricultural industry) and with my gardens that got planted a little late, but I think they will make it.

I pray that this finds all of you well and that the Lord be with each and every one of you and your family.

Yours in Christ,
Cassie

Cassie, I am headed off to adoration in a few. I will lift you and John up before our Lord. As to your marriage, if you were married in the Catholic Church, you are still married. Civil divorce matters not one bit to the Church. It has legal ramifications n case of death of a spouse, so you should approach it at some point. But, you have always been married before God.

Christ’s peace be with both of you. Amen.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation

Prayers for the continual healing in this marraige, in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Hi Cassie!

Before I say anything else, don’t worry about not posting. Some of us have thesis deadlines looming! (Well, an early deadline, but I’m trying to keep a promise.) Be cheerful in tending those crops and plants! 😃

I’m glad to hear that John’s moods are stablising well and that he’s keeping busy - you just have to after a job loss - it’s so important. And thank goodness for your health insurance… My brother’s going to the States soon for a holiday with some friends and my mom’s just gotten his health insurance in place. It’s such a relief to have that safety net.

As po18guy said, you and John may not be married before the state but you are before God. You two are still in my prayers, especially at Mass. :hug1:

It was lovely to hear about your visit to your mom and what you all did in remembrance of your dad’s birthday. I still remember him in my prayers for the faithful departed, along with my deceased relatives and our neighbour from next door who I’ve known all my life who died a month ago (it’s so strange that she’s just not there now…I don’t think it’s really hit me). I think the balloons were a great idea. Reminds me of when I was little and I was blowing bubbles in the back: when they floated away up into the sky, I thought that they were going right up to Heaven to the Angels.

May the Lord be with you, John, your family, and all your loved ones today and always…and may you always be with Him! :hug1:

Beannacht Dé,
Siobhán.

Praise God! I was able to get to adoration and lift you and John up before our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Amen!

  • Praying for you, John and family that things will proceed in a positive way, for his health and all concerns. Praying also to St. Edward the Confessor, patron of difficult marriages and separated spouses for his intercession on your behalf. Adding prayers to St Dymphna for intercession re: bipolar and suicidal thoughts Praying as well for dear mother, asking for the intercession of St. Camillus. And praying daily for the intercession of Servant of God Father Nelson Baker for your & family’s & friends’ needs/intentions, whether able to post or not…
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.

those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins,
my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen. *

Thanks to all for your continued prayers!

John had a bad day yesterday and it was hard for me not to take some of it personally. After reading much on bipolar I try a harder to let him deal with it, but letting him know that I am there and love him. Today is John’s birthday so I am taking off of work early and making him a nice supper along with the usual cake, gifts and flowers. He is more upbeat today so the medication is helping him.

He is still planning on going back to work on the pipeline, but we don’t know when. I am not looking forward to that day, but I know that when it comes God will give me the right words to say.

All of you continue to be in my prayers!
