And I do hope you are looking honestly at the real cause of the increasing distress of the poor.
Peace, Carlan
You talk in vagaries. What are the real causes, and how does it not make Democrats equally hypocritical for claiming to be looking out for the poor when they have been able to do nothing more than increase their numbers?
The opposition Party talks it up along with other morals but they don’t all actually practice.
I’ll say it, it is political. Their favorite wedges are political. They kid themselves. Their members are sinners,no more no less than the rest of us. Mea culpa.

Peace, Carlan
And the Democrats being the “party of the poor” isn’t a political wedge, and a sign of hypocrisy? We have more poor now than we did in 2009, and more than in the 1960s when the War on Poverty was started by a Democrat.

I notice you didn’t cite any examples of “not practicing it”, which renders it kind of useless. Each party has individuals who are prone to sin, but to judge them on that and not their overall goals and measures enacted is silly.

Our Franciscan Parish has an active pro-life group and in fact, one of these kinds of memorials to the unborn on their grounds. These memorials seem to be provided by the K of C.

I will say, when the unborn is discussed, it is a sensitive subject. There are a number of these kinds of topics. I’m not talking about “compromising” however, I may well be talking about showing an amount of restraint in addressing the topic.

I would say the blocking of the President in all of his endeavors,by the oposition, you have surely heard it.
Well Julian, I simply meant, by"not practicing it", that all your members do not adhere to the platform rules, many sin big time, just as the Dems do concerning the rules set down.Neither are perfect, and I do not pretend.

And yet you attack the right, and only mention the sins of the left when confronted with their shortcomings.

Obama, the President you support, controlled both Houses of Congress for two years, and you still complain about not getting anything done? Obamacare, the worst piece of legislation in the last half century got through, as did the Omnibus spending bill. The COngress’s job is to pass good legislation, not rubber stamp any crazy idea Obama has. He could create jobs tomorrow and help our energy issues if he okayed the Keystone pipeline and endorsed fracking. He doesn’t, because he is in bed with the environmental left, and apparently that is more important than jobs for Americans.

Look at the gun control bills. Obama can’t get votes from his own party in the Senate, because his proposals are often so terrible. Do we have a single lead on the Benghazi suspects? He said he wouldn’t rest until we had them. The FBI is investigating the IRS scandal, but hasn’t spoken to a single group that was targeted out of hundreds. 5 years in, and all you have left to defend Obama is to point fingers and blame someone else. That is the main theme of his presidency - “It’s not my fault.”

jesus said: better for you to have the weight of jonah than to denie having little children about you.

personally I think that jesus is telling me to get married and have hundreds of children.

jesus is asking me to be like solomon and have many wives and thoosands of children

now I don’t care about laws. I’m going to live like the king of siam. The king and I

Actually, I don’t have much to say about the right.

No need to vent. I’ve noticed you tend to throw out jabs then back down when confronted with details and facts. That’s fine - anything to end a conversation that is going no where.

Yes, we all tend to jab at times in our own way, shame, Mea Culpa.!
G’Day!

Thanks for the movie tip, If it comes to our town I’ll go see it.Gave up movie going many years ago, actually though there is the occasional one, The Passion of Christ, and most recently Les Miserables.

I think they’re all available through Amazon or Netflix. You can streamline October Baby from Netflix. Just a suggestion. Worth the watch IMO.

Note how this is worded too,

"50% of all Catholics support abortion in “all or most cases”.

We have been told before to be careful on how poll information is interpreted.

If the choices were:
a) Late Term Abortions
b) Less than 20 week abortions.
c) Cases of Incest
d) Cases of Rape
e) Where the Mother’s life is in danger.

One sees one could pick 3 of these, say c, d and e and would still have 3 out of 5 cases here which could be interpreted as “most cases”.

We would wish the “all/in most cases abortions be illegal” choice of 43% be higher, it is what it is.

OTOH, “Legal in all cases” is only 20% actually.

sigh Well, it seems that in my area, the great majority of Republicans and Democrats support child killing( A.K.A abortion) This has nothing to do with political parties, and I firmly believe that the leaders of the Republican Party(U.S) are not really “pro-life” to try to get my vote.

What a example? When says he/she is pro-life, but then acts like Ayn Rand should be Canonized.

So, for all those “faithful” Catholics that love Ayn Rand, what do you have to say now?

We should pray for those “catholics” that support baby killing or that voted for persons that do.
