Poll: Americans See Tea Party Politicians More Negatively

Well, this thread has certainly morphed beyond redemption.

One fact seems apparent from the two polls – As more people learn more about the tea party movement, more folks like it less.

Incessant insults in lieu of reasoned discussion, particularly after making accusations of offensive language and refusing to back it up–that’s how.

That post that you considered hate was not making accusations of offensive language.

The posts that were, did not point out the offensive language for a couple reasons. One I was on my mobile phone when I wrote them and two I felt it was obvious enough that it didn’t need to be pointed out.

You can’t go around painting a large number of people racists and then get offended because someone painted a large number of people as kool aid drinkers.

Hmmm. No, I’m sorry…I don’t see any “hate”. I see a quite legitimate opinion (and one I happen to agree with, BTW), but I still don’t see how what bbarrick posted can be construed as “hate”.

Maybe it’s like the Obama thing----if you disgaree with him, you’re automatically a “racist”.

I guess I must be a racist. 🤷

Since there is no unified Tea Party this whole thing is an excercise in futility. What we see is the Democrat party and the MM rating against an insitution that does not exist. Since it has no central leadership or even a Party Platform it is easy for them to ascribe to it anything they want.

Have you found any similar polling data about the Democratic Party (you know…an actual Party) for comparison? If not, the polls tell us very little with regards to the upcoming elections…other than the fact that the positive/negative gulf has changed almost as much as Obama’s have.

I was sincere in asking posters to be more charitable towards jocko. You agreed, and then went on to insult GOP’s (of which I am one) being a source of darkness.

What exactly was “dark” about my post?

Nothing actually Christine, I do try not to insult, however , i do feel that many of the posters on the political threads, here, are extremely uncharitable to those of us who do not share all of their views. And part of my post to you simply expressed that. It was not meant for you to take personally. Peace, Carlan

Well Carlan, you said GOPers were “dark” in your response to my post asking people to be charitable. I’m a GOPer. I’m actually far right of most of the GOP position. I don’t consider Conservatives dark. Most are against abortion and euthanasia. I am CAF “friends” with many here, and I find they do a lot for the poor on their own dime. For them to be accused of being “dark,” “greedy” and “Immoral” for opposing government “charity” is a bit uncharitable on your part.

We can all agree the poor need help. No need to demonize those who sincerely disagree with you how best to achieve this goal.

Fortunate for the bloated, blood-sucking lawyer class, the tea party and its fiscally conservative common-sense ideals are seen by Americans in a more negative light.

Nice to know that threat is lessening for all those who make a great living off of litigation and red tape, n’est pas?

Notice the link: the ever-leftie, snooty, elitist, and totally out-of-touch New York Times, just one of the propaganda organs for the Powers That Be, who are so absolutely terrified out of their wits by the Tea Party that they have bitten their fingernails down to the quick and have taken to walking barefooted so they can chew on their toes.

What they’re afraid of is that thanks to the Tea Party (and the Internet), a growing number of Americans are not simply listening to what State-Controlled Media tells them to think and then sitting down and doing what they’re told. The Powers That Be see the status quo evaporating into the distance in the very near future, and they see the Taxpayer Gravy Train screeching to a halt soon in An Election Near You. They’re in danger of losing their princely status of gilded kings, of having their lavish lifestyles supported on the backs of the peasants, and they are scared to death.
