all those people need “to go”?
Yes, they do. Emphatically. Completely. Immediately.
We might not have many leaders left.

Is Vigano lying? Why would he do that?

Vigano’s motivation is totally irrelevant.
These two sentences contradict. His motivation is his own and we have no business to speculate, but it is very relevant. It is not his honest as much as his perception that may be errant. There are a lot of possibilities at this point, including the Pope making a bad decision.

After today I am 100% positive I will not run. I am prepared to lay my life down for Christ

New here, but reading with interest. I don’t know how to link the article, but apparently Pope Francis won’t confirm or deny Vigano’s allegations. “I will not say a single word.”

I’m sorry to read such a response. I hope the Church becomes more transparent through all of this and cleans up her act.

The denominations… the Orthodox churches…
Well, that’s true. That is, if you are prepared to accept new doctrines that go against 2000 yrs. of Church teaching.
I’m not leaving the Catholic Church. Yet, we may have the fullness of truth, that truth is constantly being stifled.

We have division and abuse. We have legalism and clericalism. We have rejection of the Holy Spirit too!

But I’m the last guy to suggest anyone turns away from suffering against unrighteousness in order to personally receive His Eucharist in a worthy manner!

Yes, pray for our leaders… But also pray for the ones who have no office in the Church too. That they may assist our parishes and help them be successful sanctuaries of healing.

I actually like Francis’ response. It smells of “I’m not taking the bait.” If he’s proven innocent, I applaud this move.

I respectfully disagree. “I will not say a single word” is not the response I was looking for at all.

Who exactly is Michael Voris that I’m supposed to care what he has to say?
Agreed. Once again, it is not a Catholic response. Doesn’t Voris understand the papacy better than that?

“If he’s proven innocent?”

If he is innocent, wouldn’t the proper response be to deny Vigano’s claim? There isn’t a formal investigation of the Pope in the works, at this point. “No comment” is not a good response, when you know the truth.

They are doing their job. Asking the primary person involved in the report for their side seems like fine journalism to me.

But why? If someone reports that I’m a x, y, or z and I know the allegations are not just wrong but ludicrous on their face, why should I have to say anything? Journalists can prove right or wrong either way.

The allegations are not ludicrous. They may be exaggerated or not completely representing everything correctly, but they are not ludicrous.

Amen to that!
