Then what is YOUR objective definition of a successful country?
Do you have one?
Culture. Happiness of citizens. Length of existence.

I would name France as a successful country because I think it’s fairly clear they have a beautiful culture, their citizens seem fairly happy (at least, they aren’t immigrating like crazy to other countries, so far as I know) and they’re been around for a very, very long time.

When France ceases being a country then it’s not a successful country. 🤷

And we’re WAY OFF TOPIC FOLKS! So we better get back on track or we’ll be shut down. Just FYI. So let’s just drop this and focus on the topic…

Which is the ban on women priests.

The problem is… the question has been answered. You just refuse to accept the answer, then you twist it to suit your definition and then you restate the question again all while claiming it hasn’t been answered. It has been answered and to us it’s all very clear and your rebuttals make no sense because they don’t relate to the answers we’ve given.

After awhile people get tired of telling you that you’re misinterpreting.
Simply telling someone that their wrong and then informing them that they should look up the answer themselves is not much of a response.

Of course.
For instance, do you really think that privates are as important as generals in an army?
The answer is (or at least should be) obvious.
Um, yeah I do. Battles and wars don’t get won or lost by a general, they get won or lost by the actions of some nameless private. The military is run by specialists/corporals; and the most important members have “sergeant” somewhere in their title. The knowledge base and heart of any unit is the NCO [platoon- Platoon Sergeant, Troop- 1SG, Squadron- S3 SGM and CSM, all the way up to the top]. Do yourself a favor and enlist so you can have some sort of clue as to what you are talking about.

…If the Popes and the Bishops don’t do it, then what men are responsible?
That is proof that you are just pushing an agenda. Any curious person would have simply asked “Then who is responsible?” while in your question you are already claiming that men are the only one involved and women are thus excluded. It is called “begging the question”.

I said men because I was afraid that you would say some variation of “God did it.”

Now can you answer the question or not?
Are any (real live) women ever involved in the decisionmaking process?

Of course.

You should go tell all those generals to run right out into the front lines, then, instead of the privates and other soldiers, and see just how quickly you get laughed out of their offices.

Because.
In time, we see that some rules are made to be broken…or at least, revised.
This is one of them.
But I guess it’s just not time…yet.
It makes no sense not to have women as priests. Being a priest is something spiritual and a calling of the soul, it is not linked to specific male sex organs, as childbirth is.
Jesus himself, we are told, did not take part in any sexual activity involving his gender-specific organs.
If several women–including Mary Magdalene, Jesus’ favorite–could hang out and move around with the apostles/disciples and help preach, why can’t women do so today?
It is unfortunate that mortal men–who exactly was this?–interpreted words collected in the Christian canon centuries after Jesus died to mean that women cannot be priests.
Very much so.
I hope that our granddaughters and their daughters after that will live in a time that is less rigid.
The teachings and example of Jesus are not ‘rigid’, they are to be obeyed - to the letter. Our Church will NEVER allow women priests. It has to do with the roles God gave to us. God did not allow men to have babies. Women have their roles, so do men. If we do not ‘agree’, actually that is our problem. We must comply until we love to obey the Will of God!

You’re missing the point.
Generals make the decisions, and their harder to replace, therefore a general is much more important than a private.

You obviously don’t serve in the armed forces. Generals may be involved in strategy and planning, but they do this based on the information supplied to them by underlings.

I wonder if Wellington thought that he was responsible for the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo and that the privates who fought and died to win the day didn’t have anything at all to do with the ultimate outcomes. . .

This is another falsity that might be based on ignorance or on an agenda. If you are truly honest then read a little bit more about the basics of Sacred Scriptures and Sacred Tradition (e.g. sensus fidelium).

P.S. That is not an answer.
You accused me of lying and then told me to look up the answer myself.
If you can’t answer the questions just admit it.

WHAT 'decision making process"?

We keep on telling you, but you won’t accept it, that the teachings of the Church weren’t made up and DECIDED on by mere men (or women) but by God.

Just because you don’t accept it doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

And no matter how much you insist that we can’t just ‘say it’s God’, sorry sugar, we can, we do, and we will. Because it’s true.

Yes, yes, I know the metaphysical theory.
But in practice, somebody has to actually write the laws and interpret the doctrines, and whoever does that is effectively in charge.

Now who is effectively in charge?
Because I was under the impression that it was the Pope and other Bishops.

That is not a meaningful answer to my question.
It would be like if I asked who was present during a particular Mass and you kept just repeating God, God, God, God.

Yes it is.

I’m sorry that you don’t LIKE the answer because you personally don’t believe in God. We do.

Gee, it’s like we keep giving you an answer and you just keep on saying, "I won’t accept it, I won’t accept it, I won’t accept it. "

Sarcasm is the protest of the weak, Angry.

A better response would have been, “Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I did learn that in 3rd grade, but I slipped up.”

Especially since you have claimed you would do as much.
Moreover, if I make a grammar error and someone points it out, of course I would correct myself.

I again invite you to go and be laughed out of a general’s office over this idea. One could technically say that the engine of a car is more important than its parts, but one screw coming loose can spell doom for the whole thing.

Do you really, really think that generals view their soldiers as less important than they are?
