If the Allies weren’t trying to end the Holocaust, then why do we have so many examples of US soldiers liberating Concentration camps? If the Allies, as you and the Pope seem to assert, truly did nothing, it would have been far easier to just bypass those camps. Taking care of the inmates used valuable resources, especially medical resources, that could have been used otherwise. You weren’t going to end the Holocaust until you defeated the Nazi regime. Any resources that weren’t dedicated to ending the Nazi regime would only have prolonged the Holocaust. The Nazis didn’t need rail lines or even Concentration camps to kill their perceived enemies. They did a very good job of it using firing squads and mass graves long before the camps were set up.Just because you keep saying it doesn’t make it so. The Allies weren’t trying to end the Holocaust – they hadn’t even publicly acknowledged that it was taking place. Their focus was on the war.
