Teens are teens. They sass me often.
Like when a kid asked me how much I used to bench “back in the day,” grrrr!

Around post #70, JimG. has short a clip on one of these reading sessions and the drag queen director of N.Y. telling what happens at story time. I found it very interesting at 3:10 in the clip she talks about showing the little kids how to apply drag queen make-up on themselves and fashion tips on how to dress like a drag queen. Do little kids really need to know all of this so soon?

Most of the drag queens who take part in Drag Queen Story Hours are probably gay men.
You may be right, but it’s not 100%

I confess to being confused about it all. Found this on the wiki page
In the drag queen world today, there is an ongoing debate about whether transgender drag queens are actually considered “Drag Queens”. This subject is argued because Drag Queens are defined as a man portraying a woman. Since transgender queens are women, many people do not consider them drag queens because they are not men dressing as women. Drag Kings are biological females who assume a masculine aesthetic. However this is not always the case, because there are also biokings, bio-queens, and faux queens, which are people who perform their own biological sex through a heightened or exaggerated gender presentation.

I remember the librarian who used to sit at the center desk of the library when I was a kid. She made sure everyone kept quiet. If a drag queen had come in the door she probably would have called the police.

Almost makes one nostalgic for the old days at CAF - it seemed much less of an echo chamber when it was more populated and social media ‘panic’ didn’t count as news.

It is a form of entertainment.

No one shrieked about Flip Wilson, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta, Dustin Hoffman, Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel, etc. dressing as women for entertainment.

Wow now that’s a stretch to compare those comedic roles to drag queen story hour ,please

Yep, comparing entertainment to entertainment is quite a leap.

Seriously? Have we become so partisan not only in regards to politics but also re our faith? That anyone would condone this latest effort of indoctrination by the leftist pc crowd it truly concerning.,the mental gymnastics to frame this as mere entertainment when it it widely known that drag queens and their stchick is for adults, not children is a new low ,God help us all and especially the precious little innocent minds being tainted

I hope you have never sat down to watch “Mrs Doubtfire” with your kids.

You are missing the point intentionally.I watched that and Tootsie with my kids and we laughed out heads off.It was clear that in the context of the movie why these actors were pretending to be women. Your argument fails miserably.I expect at this point arguging is the hobby of many here even if the pont is pointless.

It seems to be all about maintaining the leftist front, regardless of the obvious child endangerment.
Anyone who could look at those photos of that grown man’s behavior with those little children and see nothing wrong has no business ever working with children.

Quite a few parents have used their children in Trump parodies.

I don’t recall any death threats.

These “drag queens” are primarily there to indoctrinate children, not to “entertain.”
