Protestants, How could an Infallible book be of use to you, w/o an Infallible Interpreter?

Never did I say that there is 30,000 protestant denomination
you can quote if you like

the only thing I remember saying is “30,000 INTERPRETATIONS”
Ok please quote your source for 30,000 interpretations. I would like to see the list and how it was derived.

Your Church was started by a man that regretted breaking away from The One True Church to pursue his own selfish agenda…The Catholic Church, which at one point your founder belonged to, was started by Christ Himself…and is the one, true, Church regardless of what you think.
  1. There is only ONE that itself alone claims for itself alone that itself alone is INFALLIBLE and thus UNACCOUNTABLE in such, and that all must just accept whatever that self alone says “with docility” “as Jesus speaking” It’s The Catholic Church (CCC 85, 87, etc.).
  2. We all realize that The Catholic Church alone is in full, official, formal and current agreement with The Catholic Church. It has a unity of exactly and only ONE: Itself. AT LEAST as much can be said for all other teachers and denominations. So what? Heck, I agree with me - officially, formally, currently anyway - I have a unity of AT LEAST one - myself. What huge significance do you see is that? Or in the same thing for The Catholic Church? It has a unity of just one: itself alone. That’s it, that’s all. Self ALONE agrees with self ALONE - and that only officially, formally and currently. So what? The denomination of my congregation (The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod) has AT LEAST that.
Again, I think the opening post has a “problem” with self designating self as the sole and infallible and unaccountable interpreter of Scripture. Ironically, this Catholic’s “problem” is solely with one: The Catholic Church. It is the only one that so insists (CCC 85, 87, etc.). His problem is with his denomination, not with any Protestant denomination (NONE of which makes the claim of self alone for self alone that The Catholic Church does in this regard). His finger is pointed in the wrong direction.

To whom is this addressed? Which “man” are you referring to? What “agenda” do you refer to? And How is/was it “selfish”?

LOL…me too…or when an Anglican tries to defend their Church over the Catholic Church…even though their Church only exist because a man decided he didn’t like the Catholic Church’s rules about sacramental marriage…a man once touted and recognized as the “Fidei Defensor” fell from grace and started his own heretical Church over a woman…how sad
It’s ironic to see a Lutheran brother deny the Catholic Church, being Martin Luther, once a priest in the Catholic Church, left (or was ex-communicated if you prefer) left the Church over the matters of indulgences. Never did he doubt that the Catholic Church was not the Church of the Bible. He believed it had become corrupt. But, 500 years later, his teachings are being twisted to fit a theology, that he himself did not teach.

The Church, through the men of the hierarchy of the Church, has infallibility over faith and morals, as I provided in the scriptures telling of Christ’s promises to the men He appointed over His Church. Scriptures and interpretations is included in those teachings. I have provided the Catechism of the Catholic Church and it’s instructions on interpreting scriptures.

I am open to correction if someone wants to provide the scriptures teaching us to interpret scriptures for ourselves and that we can depend on that interpretation to be infallible. Then we need the scriptures to tell us how to know which is wrong and which is right if there are differences in the interpretations between us all.
Is there a search engine Catechism that I can look for the word infallible?

Again, Unity is a good thing, never disagreed with that point, so long as those in unity are correct. When did it become ok to use incorrect information to prove a valid point? You are saying the end justifies the means? Cause it sure looks like you are saying that the 30k number is ok cause more than one is bad.
But Christ promised the Holy Spirit would make ALL things known to the men of His Church. Can we not trust that?

Please provide scriptures telling us not to accept His Church as where His truth is.

Did Christ teach the people not to trust God’s truth from the Temple? Did He teach them to read scriptures for themselves and leave the Temple if they didn’t like what was being spoken to them?

Mat 23:1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sitten on the chair of Moses.
Mat 23:3 All things therefore whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do: but according to their works do ye not. For they say, and do not.

Christ knew He was building a Church when He offered that teaching. Just as He taught confidence in believing God’s truth could be protected through the Temple, even through sinful men, He taught us the same could be for His Church and His truth.

The Church of the living God is the pillar and ground of truth. Jesus can protect His truth.

Christ never wrote anything, nor did He ordered anything scribed. He ordered His Apostles to go out and PREACH the Gospel. Through the spoken word. We have scriptures showing us His promises to those men He appointed over His Church. We can believe Him or not.

Well, the prohibition on remarriage is silly. We have been taking this effort to encourage monogamy and dedication to a literalist and absolute extreme. It is neurotic, and misguided.

How is “What God has joined, let no man put asunder” silly…how is it right, regardless of the reason for someone in a valid, sacramental marriage to marry another person even after obtaining a civil divorce? That is adultery…are you advocating adultery?

To me they just promote lust and fornication

In looking at the different churches that claim to be the original church, I got depressed when I figured out that even the different Orthodox and Apostolic churches disagree about everything as well.
So years later, a claim on infallibility is just that. Its nice. But if you are not convinced, you can’t just lie to yourself and say you accept something. 🤷

There are 2 pages :o
polgas, I read it myself from the encyclopaedia not just a biased article about the encyclopaedia. Barrett says things about Catholics that would upset you if you are a good Catholic, so please do not expect me to claim it is a good source for Protestant info too. and many of the “denominations” on their list of 5,000+ denominations are all the same one and others are not even real denominations.

Calling it “interpretations” instead of “denominations” does not make that research study more true for your purposes.
