That a God or a religion would set itself up contrary to a salubrious or at least benign practice (overall) that affords an opportunity at a more rewarding, fulfilling, and love-involved partnership is, well, just silly.

And that is why I used the term.

I wonder if you follow all the other purity laws, as well. They are spelled out pretty clearly.
It was not ‘a’ God, it was the God. We can accept, or reject.

Actually I do…I am not hypocritical…I embrace my Catholic faith and don’t feel like it is unnatural…and I also feel that it is more rewarding than what the secular world tells me is happiness.

You follow them ALL?

How can I have a bad attitude when it is the Truth? The truth hurts sometimes…sorry, but St. Thomas More spoke to and about protestants the same way…and as a former protestant and a person who’s entire family is protestant, I can say those things…not to mention they are truthful. Please tell me one lie I have said and I will resign my membership on CAF…if you can’t, then don’t get mad at me when you can’t handle the truth
I am not mad. Just glad I am not Catholic if it means this is what it is!!🤷

Yes…I know this may be hard to believe…especially in todays society, but there are people that still exist, who actually believes in Christ, His Teachings, and His Church…and out of obedience and a never ending desire to go to Heaven to live eternally with Him when I die, I follow them all.

Indeed.

I reject some of these obviously flawed patriarchal attempts at neurotic control of the sexual urge (and gender relations), and I reject the absolutist position on interpretation of that Biblical injunction. Even the Bible allows divorce elsewhere in it.

So those are the options? State the truth as rudely as possible, occasionally using dubious source material or else preach while being agnostic? I think there are happy mediums.😛
Well, it seems I’ve found a formula to have my posts responded too. 😦

Seriously, that message was for our agnostic friend who preaches against the Catholic Church, only.

I have seen the materials offered, I kindly ask that you read through my posts and let me know what dubious materials I have provided. I have used scriptures, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and one writing from one of the early Church fathers.

I’d also like to point out, that instead of endorsing extremely large numbers produced, I asked what numbers are acceptable in the division of the body of Christ, which is His Church?

**Eph 5:23 Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. He is the saviour of his body.

Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church:**

are you married?

The Purpose of Life to a Catholic
1.Know God
2.Love God
3.Serve God

It allows for stonings, but there was a new and everlasting covenant.

**Mat 19:5 For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh.
Mat 19:6 Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.
Mat 19:7 They say to him: Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce, and to put away?
Mat 19:8 He saith to them: Because Moses by reason of the hardness of your heart permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
Mat 19:9 And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.
Mat 19:10 His disciples say unto him: If the case of a man with his wife be so, it is not expedient to marry.
Mat 19:11 Who said to them: All men take not this word, but they to whom it is given.
Mat 19:12 For there are eunuchs, who were born so from their mothers womb: and there are eunuchs, who were made so by men: and there are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven. He that can take, let him take it. **

Is that the result of a poll actually asking Catholics what their purpose in life is?
That is what we are actually taught

No, that is a contrary to the “One Saved Always Saved”
where you have God serving man

The purpose of life, no matter how you break it down, to enter into Heaven…into God’s rest when we leave this world. We are here to serve God, and choose God in any and all things.

My answer was not directed at you directly but the thread over all. I’m sorry if it appeared otherwise. There are alot of posts pouring in this thread very quickly.

in that instance he was clearly complaining about bad manners. I was simply agreeing that bad manners is not the only option.

Again, I was talking about the thread overall, where you can see some dubious sources where cited. Also I have said already that it is not the number itself that is acceptable or not but the correctness. If there is but one source, but it is wrong, that is still unacceptable. Being alone does not equal being right.

No I am not…if I were, I wouldn’t be discerning the Priesthood
You follow every purity law that a single person can follow?

Have you participated in a Jubilee? Forgiven all debts to you? Etc? I am fascinated, thus the questions.
