Purgatory......

Very true, I did not mean to imply that one’s eternal destination could be Purgatory. What I meant was that after one dies, one can go to either Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory (and of course Heaven comes after Purgatory by definition).
and then there is the third heaven… this could get complicated according to scriptures:

2 Corinthians 12:2
2 I know a man in Christ above fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not, or out of the body, I know not; God knoweth), such a one caught up to the third heaven.

Pardon me. So are you saying that the Advocate the Holy Spirit did not come to the Church at Pentecost like Jesus promised, Are you saying that Jesus did not say I WILL GIVE YOU THE WORDS. Jesus did tell us to confess, repent and be Baptised. It was revealed to Peter by the Advocate the Holy Spirit.

Could you show me scripture that says we do not have to repent, and confess our sins it is a personal choice. Thanks. And if you do not accept the teachings of Peter or the Church who do you listen to? And where do you receive the word of God?
What teachings of Peter are you refering to? Eyes and ears.,heart.

***Beig in agreement with and pleased to hold th position is certainly a PLUS:)

However it is never a necessary or essential element:D

We obey because is the right thing to do.😉

Love and prayers

I obey God because Jesus is my Savior.

He is telling Peter to “feed my sheep” to tell them the news of the Son. What goes for Peter goes for all. Christ seems to work that way. Our Lord give each of us and us alone opportunities to feed the faith of our fellow men. We usually and sadly assume it is someone elses job. Obligation or responsibility? Peter was saved by Christ not by any obligation or responsibility that he may or may not have meet. Christ gives us the hope and assurance of forgiveness with no strings attached. It is true we have an obligation to reflect it in our lives. How we do this is not set by any specified actions by Peter or anyone. We alone hold the keys. You believe differently, bless you.
Then why does scripture say Peter feed my sheep and not to all the world feed my sheep. Why did scripture say You are Peter and to YOU I leave the Keys to the Kingdom. Why did scripture not say to ALL I leave the keys to the kingdom. ANd if it is all of our job to lead the Church why do we go to Church at all. I asked tweety and she did not answer me, and I have asked you, But I will ask again. Do you have authority from God to forgive my sins. Can you Marry me in the RCC. Can you give me the anointing of the Sick? Jesus gave this authority to his Apostles to do this, it is in scripture. How do you explain that scripture?

We should view serving our King, as a joy and a privilege, rather than as a chore or obligation! Jesus was the perfect example of a servant, and we who don’t deserve anything that we have been given, should gladly pick up our crosses and follow Him daily!

And we all know that God favors obedience over sacrifice(1Samuel 15:22)

Only God Has the power of forgiveness. Yes i can give the onointing of the sick, have given it to my husband in the hospital. It doesn’t say I cannot marry in the CC. We as believers are all Christ’s disciples and we have power from the Holy Spirit.

Chiil, baby! Of course the Advocate came upon the disciples at Pentecost:p But, I believe that Jesus’s words were intended for ALL believers, not just the apostles, And what I mean is, you cannot find scripture where Jesus said,“Go to a priest weekly and confess your sins!” I do repent and I do confess, then I thank God for His forgiveness! So, therefore, it is a personal choice whether or not to go see a priest! My priest is a High Priest, in the order of Melchizedek:thumbsup: 1John 1:9 I accept the teachings of Peter, Paul and all disciples as truth!

But we are not all Priests, We all are given different gifts. Again do you claim to posses the power of the Holy Spirit to give absolution. If you do why does Gods word say to go to the Church.

Now all you are giving me is what YOU think, what YOU say, Can you now quote to me the teaching of the Church or Scripture to back up what you are saying.

Please show that to me now:D Now your opinion, I want what God says not you.😃
