Will the ones free of sin - please cast them ineffectual ad-hominem stones …

which, can not and shall never blot the sins of Earth’s leaders

and those who follow their lead.

who support sodomy (and abortion)

If you’re saying criticism of Col. Putin is ad hominem I think ad hominem doesn’t mean what you think it does.

In the context of discussing Pres. Putin’s actions re: God and Same-Gender “marriage”?

Of course they are Ad Hominems - aka Attacking the Man… whilst side-stepping that message

Banning Homosexual Marriages is a very positive thing for any national leader to do.

Ad hominem would be to attack you rather than the argument you pose.

Col. Putin’s actions, on the other hand, are the expression of who he is. Banning same sex marriage doesn’t absolve him of the murders, invasions, corruption, crime, and misery he has caused.

Attacking Putin in this case

Putin’s Move To Ban Gay Marriage is a Wonderful Move

Ad Hominem: Putin? He’s former KGB!

He has seen how well this propaganda has worked elsewhere. You don’t actually have to DO anything, just say your for/against something. No “fruits” to be judged. Just say “I believe in God” regardless of the evidence to the contrary and people just take it at face value. He’s ex-KGB and understands propaganda very well.

Nobody is attacking him because of that.

Francis’ letter of September '13 obviously fell on deaf ears considering Putin invaded Ukraine in February '14 and continues to encroach on it’s sovereignty to this day. Doesn’t that bother you?
That’s as a ad hominem strawman comment which applies naught
to the banning of homosexual 'marriage" and referencing God at a national level!

But it has to do with Putin who is the subject of this thread.

The question I have is why exactly should it be the purview of the state to regulate marriage. An integralist state is as bad of an idea as an Islamic one.

It makes me very nervous when people start suggesting that the state should enforce their personal views on morality. It makes sense to prohibit actions that hurt people other than the person themselves, such as abortion. Homosexuality, however bad it might be, doesn’t do that. People have and should have the freedom to do things that some would be considered sins as long as those actions do not hurt other people.

No.

A leader of a major Nation - Banning gay marriage and adding references to God is.

It Shines a very bad spotlight upon leaders and anyone - who seek to avoid that

Plus… That’s very welcomed news for followers of Jesus. .

That subject distracts from him moving to ban homosexual “marriage”
and adding positive references to God within the Russian Constitution

That too distracts from him moving to ban homosexual “marriage”
and adding positive references to God within the Russian Constitution…

And when set upon the backdrop of those who refuse to oppose e.g., Sodomy,
it remains there…

Change the topic much?
Homophobic?
Phony label

Pres of a nation bans gay marriage and supports God -
And is it the Globalites? go berzerk…

Many Americans loathe Trump. Still he is the president and has a lot of support. Yeltsin got a lot of support in the 1996 election, even if it was rigged to some extent. He may not have done the best job of course, but he did not have an easy task.
