I don’t really agree with every point made on lewrockwell. But I do agree with Kwiatkowski. And it seems that most, if not all, of her articles are at lewrockwell.
I actually anticipate watching Ryan debate Biden. Ryan supported many things I despise, but I find him honest and sincere, and at least he can substantiate his positions with theological and mathematical underpinnings. Sometimes I find his conclusions erroneous, but at least he is not clinically insane. I cannot believe that the media covers for Biden as much as it does. Had he been a REpublican and said some of the God-aweful racist, sexist things he has, he would have been put in a crow’s cage on Constitution Avenue by now.

Absolutely. If you have to resort to making comments about people’s size or shape then your argument loses credibility. It sounded like the rant of a poor loser rather than a thoughtful commentary on the Convention.
That is revealing. I have never put too much trust in a political party or in a candidate or politician. (maybe 30 years ago I might have). You have to be realistic - if you are a rabid anything then you are setting yourself for let down - and then you become the opposite - instead of a rabid GOP’er you become a rabid anti- GOP’er. Perhaps the problem isn’t the GOP, but that people put to much faith and trust in the flawed humans in the GOP (or other man made organization) and when they were revealed to be corrupt (imagine people in power being corrupt!) then they felf betrayed and let down. If we have a narrow superficial idealized conception of the GOP or other institution made by man and get our hopes up that they will change the world, then we are setting up ourselves for let down. I see the same kind of idealized hope in Ron Paul or other 3rd party groups: “if only our guy got elected then he/she would change things in Washington and save our country.” Am I being too cynical? I don’t think so. I believe we can elect people who will change things - just don’t get your hopes up too much, and don’t invest too much emotion.

I am a rabid anti-political party. I am not “rabidly” anti-GOP. There are still many things I appreciate about the GOP. But the establishment just forcing a rules changed down the convention’s throat with rubber stamping by John Boehner was deplorable. I think Rence Prebius should be barred from politics. He pick Mitt Romney from the get go and broke the rules during the primaries to ensure that his boy got the nomination. There are many terrible examples of establishmentarianism in the GOP that make it as unappealing as the DNC. However, get rid of Prebius and elect a party chief that has some moral integrity and I would be more inclined to support it.
