I didn’t know the founders and your church wanted people to have to choose between food for their families and prescriptions for themselves. Or people being unable to afford adequate health care coverage. Because that’s what has occured over the yrs while govt wasn’t doing something more. I’m not even certain the Affordable Care Act signed into law by President Obama goes far enough.Again, like Rich, you equate care and doing something with big spending and bloated, bureaucratic programs at the federal level. It’s the Democrat way. It isn’t the way our country was founded. It is contrary to Church teaching regarding the role of government. When Republicans do something, it is based on the principles of freedom and liberty, rather than the Welfare State.
