And if they are going to blame the 2007 takeover of the House for the housing mkt decline, then I suppose they’ll blame the 2011 Republican takeover of the House for why the 2011 economy is still so stagnant and in such dire straits. At least the latter makes more sense since the 2011 House has spent a great deal of time on abortion bills rather than jobs.
I don’t blame the takeover by Democrats as causing housing problems, that had little to do with it. I do believe that small and medium companies are much more reluctant to hire with Democrats in charge. As far as the housing market goes there are a number of places you can point the finger at. One major one would be people buying the maximum amount of home that the bank would loan them the money for. Another would be liberal politicians and their cohorts pressuring lenders to make loans to folks who had no business buying a house.
