I don’t even think he has a Twitter account…
He does,

#GeoWashington

Be interesting to see who he would endorse if he could come back to life, my guess is he’d fall over dead again soon as he learned who was in office now.

I find it more interesting that Newt wasn’t even mentioned.

And I don’t get the Ron Paul thing about roads.

And I expected the answer to be abortion too. Since it was condoms, it was definitely his Catholicism that was being ridiculed. But, so what. Just publicity for Santorum. He’s not ashamed of his beliefs, that’s his most appealing quality.

Just wanted to share this too , on the issue of polygamy …

Title is why are we we stil talking about this and the artcile gives good explanations , such as how in LDS , there are still fundamentalists who push for it and practice it , how the practice was only suspended , under force of law !

It would be also pertinent to think how this group that started out as Christians , ended up in so pathetic ways …

Could it have been the blasphemy against the Virgin birth and in the blasphmey of exalting man to to be God , trying to deny divinity to God -all clearly manifestations of the fallen nature !

Could such beliefs , if endorsed to , by the country at large, by choosing for someone who upholds same , have far reaching , critical results for the country …

Well, there is China , with its excess of 200 million men , in the horizon , with its rapidly advancing tech , prowess …

If the nation chooses for a man who blaspemes God, are we asking for what that might deserve !

Hope that all the candidates who are at each other would see this one clear threat for what it is …

If Republicans, starting with Pres. Nixon , had something to do with China’s rapid industrial develpoment, with no advance in values pertaining to human dignity , hope that nominating someone who cater to a system that denies God His dignity would not open the nation to unforeseen catastrophic consequences !

We have a taste of that already in Obama …

May we be wise and united enough, to have learned the lesson and God help us and The Immaculate Virgin pray for us !

Yes there are splinter groups that practice is. So what? They have nothing to do with Mitt Romney. If you wish do “do unto others as you would have them do to you”, then would you also accept Christianity being judged on the basis of Jim Jones or Westboro Baptist Church? That is what the IRR is doing in your article.

Again, diffrence like night and day !

Catholic Church’s teachings are not determined by the behavior of splinter groups , where as , in this case , seems it is the so called fundamenalist sects in LDS , who are being faithful to the ways of their Patriarchs !

There are reports of how Romney has been running a campaign in Fla . ,spending the millions earned in BAIN ( Bad Intention Capital ) - of purposely distorting well known facts about Gingrich …do we need to be surprised that , a man who is deeply a part of a body that subscribes to such ways from its founding on , is showing more and more his true colors .

Do we expect to trust such a man !

We have ROBAMA care as the bad dough , started by Romney , the effects of which we are trying to contain - one which seems primarily wanting to rob The Church of faith, by forcefully trying to get it to promote destructive practices !

Again, even in finacial matters , the god of ’ think rich ’ values and manipulations with its attendant greed and debt -

do we have to wonder if there is a connection with the 'more money ’ system of values !

May the prayers and blessings of Bl.John Paul 11 protect us and help to drive away the seemingly small scale brush fires of lies and greed so that powerful dragon systems can be tamed through Godly ways , by efforts of those who are wise and faithful enough, to know where to turn !

spem

Whatever they are condemed by the central authority in Salt Lake, and if anything, failthful Mormons are MORE centrally controlled than faithful Catholics, not less.

I don’t like what is happening in Florida (I don’t like the negativity) but Romney isn’t spending his own money earned from Bain. He is spending money donated to him for the purpose of using it during the election.
Do we expect to trust such a man !
He is a politician, acting like a politician.

You see this as a difference. I think ever reasoning person here can see other wise. Mormons, like Catholics are not deterined by the behavior of splinter groups. That is where the “splinter” part comes in. Because they are not faithful Mormons, and have zero influence over Mormonism, they had to separate from the Mormon Church, or splinter. You don’t thing Westboro Baptist believe they too are the only faithful ones? That, again, is why they splinter. I believe you are inaccurately portraying Mormonism as polygamy, which it hasn’t been for over a century, to smear Romney. I believe it to be a violation of Truth. Goodness knows that Catholics have had this done to us by folks like Jack Chick. I do not think we need to go and do likewise.

LDS Mormons are not polygamist. Period.

Interesting article that refers to every current Republican contender except Ron Paul-- “Why Republicans will Never End Abortion”: networkedblogs.com/t7A2G (Click on the link, “Put Not Your Trust in Princes”)

“…the problem of abortion will never be addressed at the national level because Republican politicians, just as surely as Democratic ones, have no desire to lose an “issue” that reliably brings them millions of votes in every national election…”

Not sure if I’m as cynical about the issue as this guy, but he raises some good points. It seems the greatest effects can often be found at the local level.

That is the standard rationale for those who claim to repsect life but consistently vote for pro-abortion canidates. As we saw with the Health care vote and the attempts to defund planned parenthood party does matter. As we sawwith the rescindng of the Mexico City Policy and apointmeny of Keagan by Obama who is Presdient can have a major impact on life issues. And of course lets not forget to mention the impostion by the obama admin of requirments that catholic organization provide abortion and contraception coverage to their employees and their rescining of conscience clauses that protected catholic health care providers from participating in abortions. And of course catholic Charities was removed from helping in the fight against sex trafficking of girls because of their oppostion ot abortion and removed from placing children for adoption in Mas. and Illinois becuase of their stance on Homosexuality. .

Searcing for truths, root causes and effects of choices and behaviors , these are fundamental traits we share in common , I would assume …

It is not per se effort to smear the candidate but to see , to what extent , such familal factors are playing out already , to indicate how much it may , for the future too …

such as in aggressively pursuing companies , to make millions , without much care about the human lives involved …

aggressivley proselytising , without being truthful …

Polygamy has to be seen as a manifestation of human aggression and greed that deny and lie about the fundammental God given dignity and worth of humans, esp. women .

Thus , seems it is possibly cultures where such aggression is part and parcel of ways that have also embraced polygamy !

True, we see its effects in Obama too , who has no regard for human lives he considers as expendable !

Thus, even the aggressive campaign style that is getting more evident - well we have reasons , to be concerned , in someone with such a background !

Well, looks like Romney will win FL (which was a given from the start if you are following my posts.) Looking ahead:

In Feb we have NV,ME,MN,CO,MI,AZ

And then Super Tuesday: March 6

NV, February 4 (Proportional Caucus) 28 Delegates no recent polls, but as I mentioned before the state go to Mitt.

ME, February 4 (Non-Binding Caucus) 24 Delegates toss up state

CO, February 7 (Non-Binding Caucus) 36 Delegates toss up state

MN, February 7 (Non-Binding Caucus) 40 Delegates Newt has a shot here

MI, February 28 (Hybrid Primary) 30 Delegates This is Romney country

AZ February 28 (Winner Take All Primary) 29 Delegates I would be surprised if Mitt doesnt’ win AZ. A lot of Mormons in the state and in recent years the state has become more moderate as more and more Californians moved into the state.

And then Super Tuesday: March 6

Romney maintains attacks against Gingrich, determined to win big in Florida

“But instead of stepping back and refocusing on President Barack Obama - as he did in Iowa when it became clear that Gingrich had lost - Romney is ratcheting up his rhetoric and continuing his attacks until the very end.” - AP

“He reprised his criticism of Mr. Gingrich’s work as a consultant to mortgage giant Freddie Mac, which paid the former House speaker $1.6 million. And Mr. Romney even managed to needle Mr. Gingrich for his complaints about audience behavior at recent debates.” - WSJ

"Mitt Romney's nearly certain victory in Florida's Republican primary on Tuesday wouldn't guarantee him the GOP nomination, but political experts agree it would make it far more likely that he'll be the last candidate standing at the August convention in Tampa." - [Washington Examiner](http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/article/romney-win-fla-wont-ensure-nomination/347691)
Newt pledges to take the nomination "all the way to the convention"

“A pugnacious Newt Gingrich reiterated his intention to stay in the Republican presidential primary “all the way to the convention,” telling reporters Sunday morning that he believed that “this is going to be a straight-out contest for the next four or five months” between him and Mitt Romney.” - Wall Street Journal

“Gingrich is making the case that Romney can’t get a majority at the convention, his small circle of advisers are already eyeing favorable states in March and April and those close to the former back-bench bomb-thrower are testifying to his legendary perseverance.” - Politico

“Ron Paul vowed today he’ll stay in the GOP race through the national convention in Tampa and defended his decision to campaign in Maine while his rivals are focused on Florida.” - USA Today

**Gingrich doubles down on claim to President Reagan’s legacy **

“Newt Gingrich linked Mitt Romney to Wall Street malfeasants, compared himself with Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, and stridently attacked President Obama — all at one campaign event here Sunday afternoon.” - The Hill

““I am, in fact, the legitimate heir to the Reagan movement, not some liberal from Massachusetts,” Gingrich said on Sunday. He noted that Reagan’s son Michael will be campaigning with him on Monday, “which should tell you how false the ads were earlier this week by Romney that suggested I wasn’t a Reagan Republican.”” - LA Times

New polls have Romney solidly leading Gingrich in Florida
Code:
"A new Rasmussen survey in Florida shows Mitt Romney leading Newt Gingrich by 16 points, 44% to 28%, with Rick Santorum at 12% and Ron Paul at 10%. A forthcoming We Ask America poll in Florida shows Romney ahead by 22 points." - [Political Wire](http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/01/29/romney_pulling_away_in_florida.html)
Nate Silver gives Romney a 97% chance of winning

Polling in key swing states: Only Romney polls ahead of Obama, Obama leads Paul and Santorum by 7%, and Gingrich by FOURTEEN percent - USA Today

It’s better to think of Florida as five different states than just one - Politico

Michael Barone: This three-way contest has given Romney the time and reason to develop better skills as a candidate

“The race so far has given Romney the opportunity to develop the political instincts that he might have obtained from going door-to-door for votes or interacting with lowly colleagues in a caucus as his three rivals have. His performances in the two Florida debates show he is making some progress. Not enough to be the ideal nominee, perhaps, but maybe enough to beat an incumbent with serious weaknesses, as well as some strengths.” - Michael Barone for TownHall

Why hasn’t Jeb Bush endorsed any candidate?

“Mr. Bush has made clear in television interviews and in conversations with friends that he is troubled by the sharpening tenor of the race, particularly on immigration. He voiced his concern directly to Mr. Romney, two people close to him said, urging him to moderate his oratory and views to avoid a collapse of support among Hispanic voters in the general election.” - New York Times

GOP poll: Mitt Romney leads Obama in 5 of 6 swing states** - The Hill

Ummmm…I guess Rush today is saying that the GOP establishment thinks Obama will win reelection and this support for Romney is based primarily on holding the House.

That is the reason he has assumed. He also is reporting that the GOP in Florida, while gaining two additional seats in the House due to census, is writing out Alan West’s seat. Strange, unless they are trying to rid themselves of those pesky, budget watching Tea Partiers.
