You will get a lot of agreement on that point. Among other things, letting banks sell short (and wiping out) the very companies they lend money to is ludicrous. Companies with positive cash flows were wiped out by bank-forced bankruptcies following 9/11, leading to other problems. Jim Cramer admitted this on one of his shows in 2002.

That would make sense, except it was a Democrat Congress the last two years of Bush’s presidency, when the economy began to tank; and a much larger majority Democrat Congress the first two years of the Obama administration, as the economy worsened. We’ve had a weak recovery…starting with the Republican Congress last year.
