How does one justify the dropping of bombs on innocent people and call it “collateral damage” and give you the appearance of moral superiority over the enemy? It’s not only an unjust war but unjust means of conducting a war.

In retrospect, we should have perceived the intention of Osama to bankrupt as many countries as possible and deal with that aspect accordingly. The U.S. was not the only target. Look at what he did to Russia’s economy.
I have no idea what you refer to in both paragraphs. If you are still debating the Iraq War, then you can continue to beat a dead horse. I won’t help in that hopeless endeavor. Russia destroyed its economy and it’s destroying its future with its anti-life philosphy. It needed nothing from Obama to continue the suicide pact.

The candidate who best represents your own principles is, well, you. Everyone else is a compromise. It’s just a matter of deciding what your priorities are and whether you are willing to make a futile protest vote to make a larger point.

And, in that context, it’s hard to imagine the Republicans nominating anyone who would be worse than Obama. Republicans may disagree on who should replace Obama and who has the best chance of beating Obama. But, end the end, the question before voters will be four more years of the same or not?
Oh, but will it really be four more years of the same? 😉

Which republican canidate has called for dropping bombs on innocent civilians?

I wasn’t necessarily referring to the Iraq War. Warmongers seem to want to drop bombs everywhere. But as long as you brought it up, it’s not as dead as you think. There’s trillions of debt you and I are still on the hook for. Or did you think if we forget about it, it’ll go away?

The majority of debt in this country is for entitlements, not the military.

The bumper sticker mentality ‘warmongers dropping bombs everywhere’ is so beyond reason that I wonder if you actually wish to engage in a dialogue.

I was very involved in a troop support group from 2005 to date so I received first hand knowledge of the military activity in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am amazed to hear about all these bombs dropping. Really? From my experience the vast majority of explosives in both Iraq and Afghanistan were planted by insurgents. Or do you call them “Freedom Fighters?” And talk about innocents being killed, these insurgents thought nothing of planting the bombs adjacent to schools and hospitals. We were fighting evil people in Iraq and Afghanistan. THEY were the source of most of the deaths

Bush lied, thousands died. Neo-con warmongers, Cheney-Halliburton, war for oil profits. Those are the bumpersticker phrases that we hear from the left. I never thought I’d hear them from certain elements from the right. Strange bedfellows indeed.

I think the realization that Paul has no chance at the nominaton is sinking in.

I get that and I’m all for troop support but this type of argument was used to kill 10-yr and 11-yr olds who were pulling triggers in Vietnam back in the 60’s. Then they started asking what we were doing there to provoke them into pulling triggers in the first place. Just saying.

Which is amazing considering he never had a chance in the first place. I hope they don’t help Obama by staying home on election day, or by voting for a 3rd party. From the looks of things, Romney or Santorum will need all the votes they can get.

As Estesbob said, Paulinistas are so obvious. OK now we’re refighting the VIETNAM War? PUH-LEASE. My goodness the thread has been totally hijacked.

Getting back to the lead in, apparently Santorum is getting a lot of flak for reiterating the obvious, that prenatal testing leads to abortion. In our practice we noticed a sudden disappearance in babies born with Down Syndrome. We heard that a large majority of such babies are now aborted once diagnosed in utero.

Regardless of where people come down on the eugenics at work in our OBGYN wards, the fact that Santorum simply reported a fact has created a furor. LEFTISTS HATE the truth.

Funny how I mention Santorun and Halliburton in the same sentence and it gets shrugged off as typical leftist propaganda coming from the far right. Why not explain his desire to exempt Halliburton instead?

I work in the oil field, I know the contributions Halliburton had made to my career. I just want to know why Santorum specifically wanted Halliburton to be exempt.

I have no idea and i could not care less.

I actually almost hope that Obama wins a second term. I want America to get a wake up call and be reminded that votes matter. And maybe the GOP will get the point to stop putting these lousy candidates in front of the voters for public consumption. Because even if the GOP manages to win the White House, keep the House of Reps, and take the Senate, I have very little faith that Roe will be overturned under their watch, or that a meaningful budget will be passed, or that anything will be done to reign in the Fed. They will nibble around the edges of these issues and then blame the Democrats for not getting anything done. The Democrat, on the other hand, will turn low income people on their head and say the reason why they are worse off is because Republicans hate the poor. And so it will go, on and on and on. These two parties are nothing if not predictable.

He’s also not Ron Paul-a big plus in my book-but I have not decided who I am going to support.
Any many miney moe, pick any Republican Obamas got to go.

Except for Paul that is, we don’t want to fix this country, just don’t want to screw it up as fast as Obama.

So do the leftist secularists who are waging war on the catholic church.

This election is about stopping Obama’s assault on the Catholic church. Pick a side.

You think a silly little thing like a vote is going to stop the persecution of the Church? :rotfl: Pay attention to Jesus. They persecute us BECAUSE we are of Christ and they hate Him, therefore they hate US. That’s how it works. No slave is above his master. We need to stop thinking that playing politics is going to stop something that was put in place by God Almighty. Stop praying for the persecution to end. Pray for strength to deal with it when it comes knocking on your door.
