Interesting, he doesn’t come across as a foreign policy expert to me. More of a typical politician in the pockets of those who would profit from war. The guys a joke.
Code:
Clearly, foreign policy has not been the focus of this campaign thus far. But Santorum really shines here. How did HE know that the Arab Spring would become a nightmare when most Americans were celebrating Mubarak's ouster as a great triumph? If Rick Santorum is a "joke", that doesn't leave much for all the candidates who were not wary about the repercussions.
There are politicians, namely Obama, who is steering us toward war through his weakness vis a vis our enemies, as well as by his unfathomable $1.5T yearly deficits which are crushing our families and our entire economic system. We need a President like Santorum who will face the REAL world, and not bury his head under the covers in the hope that it will go away. Peace through strength is the only pathway to achieve a safe America. :yup: Rob

He is 100% correct, but discretion is the better part of valor at times. Many Americans are so ill-informed thanks to our sorry government education system, I think that he often speaks over people’s heads. SANTORUM/RUBIO '12!!! 😃 Rob

Obama speaks to Americans as if they are grade schoolers, and that, sadly, may be the more effective strategy. SANTORUM/RUBIO '12!!! 😃 Rob

Most of us are not privy to the campaign attack ads paid for by Romney’s millions. ROMNEY is the guy who has been criticizing Senators such as Santorum doing their Constitutional duties by allocating ALREADY SPENT money, instead of leaving it to unelected bureaucrats. It is a phony issue, and Sen. Santorum called Romney on it. Rob

I completely agree.

Santorum’s a great guy, hope he wins and completely levels Iran with all the force we can muster. 👍

Beyond the strawman argument, I think Santorum understands that the best way to avoid war is to operate from a position of strength. It is weakness, or the perception of weakness and lack of resolve that prompts our enemies (and we have enemies) to do things which lead to war. The most dangerous scenario is one in which Iran or any other enemy thinks that America lacks either the will to respond or the ability. And to think that we can “just bring the troops home and deal with our problems here” is to not be in touch with reality. We don’t have to go around nation building, but neither do we have to fall into isolationism. We live in a dangerous world and we have to be prepared to defend ourselves. I think Santorum and Romney understand that. Ron Paul and Obama I’m not so sure.

IMO, Iran can be stopped without "level"ing it, and it must be stopped. Rob
Stopped from getting a nuclear weapon or stopped from getting nuclear power to its people?

Some of Israels leaders don’t think it’s a big deal if they get a weapon.

US officials don’t even know what they have.

I guess as long as people are getting blown to pieces, sanctions are a wonderful thing.

Democrats like Obama, would never let a crisis go to waste. They will make sure Santorum will get the chance to drop his bombs if it means they can politically capitalize on another war.

Republicans, again, won’t see it coming.

👍

Paul doesn’t know the meaning of peace through strength.

I don’t trust this Paul fellow. If he gets elected, is Haliburton going to stop sending me hush money? I don’t want my slush fund to dry up!
I didn’t know you were connected that well to be receiving hush money.

It’s amazing to me that Catholics are so quick to support these hawks. Don’t you think you might have to answer to God for that? Ron Paul is the only moral choice in the nonimation process, and only as the lesser of two evis should anyone consider supporting murderous platformed politicians like Santorum and Rubio.

I am being very seriouse here. You really don’t think you will have to answer for that decision?

I find it interesting that someone will call Americans ill informed and support an ill informed reason to attack a foreign country before verifying it’s information.

I thought it was funny that Santorum tried pointing at old buried chemical agents as the WMD’s they were looking for and saying they had found them. Then the CIA came back and said, uh no.
