I love Mitt Romney and all he does. And Ryan too.

He was a good political candidate. Did not make him a good President.Being successful? Hmmā¦Iām pretty sure thatās what you call a person who runs for president and wins the first time round, hands down - complete with fully disclosed tax returns.![]()
Maybe you read somewhere about love? Do you love Obama and Biden too? Should I even ask if you treat Obama with a Golden Rule as well?I love Mitt Romney and all he does. And Ryan too.

Do you have any evidence to support your implication that volunteering and charity are preserves of the right?Seekerz when will the Left get over that canard? Conservatives are FAR more charitable than those on the Left who feel they have discharged duty to their fellow man by voting that other people pay more taxes.
What Republican has said āsurvival of the fittestā or āyouāre on your own.ā Those are DEMOCRAT talking points and unsupported claims made in an effort to demean those who want to protect life before birth.
Who is running the pregnancy care centers (not abortion mills) who is volunteering in shelters and soup kitchens and taking in foster children? The Left?
I believe both sides care about the poor and those struggling to make it in our country. The difference is in the approach not the intention. We believe our approach is not only more charitable but also more effective. The Leftist big government approach has failed and if anything has institutionalized poverty.
We need a different approach but first we need compassion for all human beings. If human life is devalued unless someone decides it is of value, where to begin?

I believe I was responding to a post about ābeing successfulā? He was a good candidate and he is a fairly good president - flaws and missteps notwithstanding. He was a good political candidate. Did not make him a good President.
I generally have no personal feelings for any candidate. I only care about their stances on the issues. I think I would like Paul Ryan from what Iāve seen on television. I cared for Ronald Reagan - when he was shot I definitely felt a sense of great personal loss and concern. I was quite moved during his funeral. And John F. Kennedy was a personal hero of mine during my youth. My thoughts evolved over the years, however, once I discovered he had the moral standards of Bill Clinton. Too bad, because I really liked him as a kid. I still admire him for many of his accomplishments as President. He had a decent fiscal record for a Democrat, not unlike Bill Clinton.Maybe you reading somewhere about love? Do you love Obama and Biden too? āGoodā compared to who, Jimmy Carter?I believe I was responding to a post about ābeing successfulā? He was a good candidate and he is a fairly good president - flaws and missteps notwithstanding.
Yes, good compared to Carter. Compared to Bush, superb.āGoodā compared to who, Jimmy Carter?
While Iām not a returning Catholic and certainly canāt speak for Ecoclimber, perhaps some of your question is being answered on another thread, Ishii. From what Iām gathering from some of the Catholics there it has to do with Faithful Citizenship. And voting for a candidate who favors abortion choice as long as your intent is not to support abortion. But voting for them for other grave moral reasons the voter finds. Faithful Citizenship lists many other serious moral issues. And states you canāt use opposition to an intrinsic evil to be indifferent to these other matters. Anyway maybe that will help with your question about how a Catholic can perhaps determine to vote for the Democratic Party. God bless and peace my brother. Have a most blessed Lordās Day.My question for you is, if you are a returning Catholic, why do you support a party that supports butchering the unborn? Answer that question and we can go from there.
Ishii
LOL!What a relief there is at least one story Romney has not used: that of being a poor black kid!
In other words, " I donāt support Obama because of his support for infanticide (partial birth abortion), I support Obama because he wants to (insert pet welfare program) ." Your logic is twisted, Cmatt. Its like saying, " I donāt support the racist KKK candidate because Iām a racist, I support racist KKK candidate for other āgraveā reasons." If that sounds absurd, it is.While Iām not a returning Catholic and certainly canāt speak for Ecoclimber, perhaps some of your question is being answered on another thread, Ishii. Exactly. Socialist rhetoric used to justify voting pro-choice is just thatā¦empty rhetoric. Somehow, supporting the bloated bureaucracy is equated to ācare for the poor.ā I see no evidence that bloated, bureucratic programs are helping the poor. In fact, they seem to be hurting them and worsening society. Solidarity does not mean government programs.Seekerz when will the Left get over that canard? Oh come on Meltzer and Rich. True Romney to my knowledge has not spoken of being black. But somewhere, was it on the infamous now not so secret video? But somewhere I recently heard him say he would have a better chance of winning the Presidency if he were Mexican, born of Mexcian parents and not merely of American parents in Mexico. So maybe he doesnāt use the story of being a poor black kid but sounded like he wishes he were Latino for this election.LOL!![]()
Yeah it sounded absurd to me to compare voting for Obama to voting for a KKK candidate. No youāre dead wrong Ishii if you believe Obama voting Christians donāt persnally care about the unborn. You canāt see into their hearts you know.In other words, " I donāt support Obama because of his support for infanticide (partial birth abortion), I support Obama because he wants to (insert pet welfare program) ." I wonder if Obama voting Christians will ever admit the truth: deep down they donāt really care about the unborn.
Ishii
Oh come on Rich and Meltzer. Sure Romney hasnāt said he was a poor black kid. But he wishes he were Mexican.LOL!![]()
I think itās funny that people make such a big deal about this comment. He is 100% correct, that he would get a lot of votes from the hispanic community, if he were Mexican. Racial politics are a reality. All he was doing was acknowledging that fact.Oh come on Rich and Meltzer. Sure Romney hasnāt said he was a poor black kid. But he wishes he were Mexican.

I look at their actions though - and they continually vote for the most pro-abortion president in history - what else can I conclude? If you really care about the unborn then quit supporting the president who is in favor of their continued legal slaughter.Yeah it sounded absurd to me to compare voting for Obama to voting for a KKK candidate. Agreed. However, with Romney one never knows: he may even become a Democrat if he loses the Presidential election or, in line with dissonance theory, he may become more conservative. If he wins, all bets are off concerning both his politics and policies.I think itās funny that people make such a big deal about this comment. Besides, if he were Mexican, he could claim that white people who donāt vote for him are racistsā¦but, he would have to be a Democrat to play that gameā¦

If your only accomplishment is disclosing tax returns itās a pretty thin record. Surely competence, integrity and executive skills are more important to the Americanā peopleās future than a tax return?Being successful?
