Barb, Rosalind Moss has an CAF account under her name, but she hasn’t visited here in over two years. Her profile says she can be contacted by email, but I am not sure if her email address has changed. forums.catholic-questions.org/member.php?u=19

I do have an idea which is rather cumbersome, but if no one comes up with a direct way of contacting her, perhaps you could write to the site which is hosting one of her seminars. For example, she will be conducting a parish renewal retreat, during the second week of March, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. Unfortunately, the Catholic Answers calendar doesn’t provide an email address of the site, but a bit of googling finds this result: stannblackrock.com/contact_us.html

I am just using that parish renewal retreat as an example, but if you emailed a responsible person perhaps they could relay your email address and a request that Rosalind contact you.

For other occasions which Rosalind Moss will be attending, you might want to look at the Catholic Answers calendar of seminars:

Unfortunately, the calendar does not let you search for her presentations. You have to click each state and look over the results to see if she will be there.

And then you would likely have to google for an email for that site, and then try to find a responsible person who will relay your information… all very cumbersome. I am sorry I don’t have a better answer, but I thought I would share it in case we can’t find a direct email for Ms. Moss.

Thank you very much, Dale, for all this information and taking the time to compile and post it. I am in South Australia and have searched all over Australia for years for a women’s religious order which would consider a mature age applicant without success. …Blessings…Barb:thumbsup:
 
I’m listening to it now. She said the Order is named Daughters of Mary Mother of Israel’s Hope. And it will be starting in St Louis. She says she wants to flood the streets with habits. 🙂 She says the age range is from 18 to 118. And she says to reach her through the catholic answers website until she gets the website and contact up for the Order. Alright! Great stuff.
 
Using the Member Link given by Dale, I have sent Rosalind a PM through Catholic Answers. Her CA email facility has not been selected and I was unable to email. I guess this will be a test case to see if she can be contacted OK through a CA Private Message. I will advise if I receive a reply. Blessings - Barb:)

I was so excited about reading this post.  I do have a question.  How is that married men, coming from other denominations, are being allowed to become priests?  is this holding true for women?  The parish pastor of a church here locally was recentlty ordained  a priest and new pastor and is married. he was a baptist minister i beleive.  i myself have been inleadership in another denomination for several years. Praise the Lord God is good. I am a christian and I was born and raised catholic. I left the church in 1984 however months back, I was drawn to the church again and it has been such a journey. I havent returned yet....but my heart is so full of love for the church much like I experienced when I was a little girl.  My bitterness and hurt for the church, has been healed....and much of that took place right here on the forum...it is called educating oneself!  I am studying right now the writings of the early fathers and some other studies as well.
    Several years ago I said to my mother.......if men can become priests and be married isnt this going to be acceptable of the women as well?  My hearts desire when i was a little girl up to a teenage girl, was to become a sister!  I was so influenced by the ones who taught me......and it was such a  great influence......anyway. I have been married for 37 yrs, will be 38. I have a great husband who knows my hearts desire and is supportive of me in my spiritual journey!  Please could someone give me direction in this area?  I would love to serve God in this capacity!  I have evangelization experience...and have a desire to serve the Lord in the truth.......and I am finding out so much about HIs truth and the catholic church!  Thanks again and I will check out the sites you have mentioned here.......God Bless you......May the Lord be your cloud by day and your pllar of fire by night.....

The Pastoral Provision is how protestant ministers become Catholic priests. However, it applies only to men.

What you’d likely be called to, since you’re married, is either a third order (like the Dominicans–they’re the Order of Preachers) or the Servants of the Sacred Cross.

The Servants of The Sacred Cross are not a Third Order incidentally. They are an Order in their own right not connected to any other Religious Order. They have their own unique Rule of Life. They are quite unique also in that they are ecumenical and open to married, single, divorced and widowed women of Anglican, Eastern Orthodox and our Catholic Faith. It is quite legitimate under Catholic Church Law to enter the SSC and they have been warmly welcomed by The Vatican (see extracts of Vatican dignitaries communications on their website). They have quite a few Catholic women Sisters - mostly married Sisters. One may live in one’s own home. There are no age or health limitations. They have also now newly founded a live in community of semi (at this point) contemplative Sisters in Nova Scotia in Canada. Sisters wear, mandatory only at certain times, a semi traditional religious habit.
They are growing at a very fast rate seeing they are only a relatively new and unique Order and Mother Wendy, their foundress and superior, has enquiries from all over the world. The SSC is Canadian in origin. They are certainly gaining a very firm footing in Australia with a reputation as very holy Sisters. Our Archbishop Hickey in Perth, Western Australia, has been extremely supportive of them and there are two married Catholic novices in his archdiocese, whom he received into the Order on behalf of the SSC. Mother Wendy visited Australia last year and may do so again next year.

  Thank you so much for that wonderful information!  I do not believe this is  by any means a coincidence!  I am so excited about the journey I have been on for some time now. When I read Rosalind's testimony I so can relate to her in the aspect of the love for the church as she researched!   The Holy Spirit has moved in my life in the last year in ways that can only be HIM!  To draw me to the trurth......and to fulfill the call on my life.  I knew that I would serve the Lord in ministry and for the possibility to serve Him as a sister is truly His call and annointing!
  SO much has happened in my life SINCE I have been searching and studying and learning of Gods truth through the Holy and apostolic church!  Oh my I cannot begin to tell you the boldness in my spirit that has come over me and I am speaking with such confidence and zeal and joy that ONLY comes from Him!  So coming back to the catholic church and pursuing the call of sister is all HIs plan and I am NOW being obedient to that call and will share the truth and love of the the Lord Jesus Christ and His church with all who will hear.....!  amen?

I am very excited about Moss new order.🙂

I love her thoughts about bring Christ to the poor and the wealthy. I wonder how she plans on doing it.

I like bringing Christian art to the masses. So that we have the constant reminders of our faith all around us.

Rosalind won’t be officially starting her new community for a couple months. Her base will be in St Louis in Bishop Burke’s diocese. Anyone out there from St Louis? Bishop Burke’s office might have some information.
Rosalind tried to explain how she would “bring Christ to both the rich and Poor” so I will try to paraphrase:

Four nuns in habits with baskets of holy things will work the streets of the poor neighborhoods and the rich neighborhoods. Part of their approach will be to invite the people to come visit the nuns and they will serve them a supper…not to mention lots of inspirational conversation. However, they also want the
“new friends” to invite them back into their homes for a supper with them. Rosalind will feel just as comfortable in a ghetto home or the home of Bill Gates or Spielburg. She doesn’t want to discriminate just because a person happens to be rich. They need Jesus and Catholicism just as much as the poor.

Great concept! Rosalind has certainly taken to heart a need and responded …Deo Gratius! May The Lord bless and increase this new Order and grant them Peace and Joy always…it is really quite wonderful as it reminds me of the Missionary work of the Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons…but we are not exactly formed for ‘door knocking’ … it truly is a Catholic response…hospitable and welcoming to strangers and the needy is a factor in the Old Testament that Jesus really revived in the New and The Gospel and we can continue…and given time and exposure, hearts will rejoice to see these habits wandering around the place…and I hope very quickly…

Nothing like some sort of a uniform (or habit) to witness and proclaim without saying a word…simply through presence…

Here’s what’s troubling me personally…I’ve made an application to a contemplative order and I’m waiting for their answer. Now, I hear about this, and I can’t get it out of my head…And this order would be very different from the one I’ve applied to and felt drawn to. Oh, how I pray for a spiritual director!

These are all qualities and interests Rosalind will be looking for when she starts recruiting. And on top of that you live in the Midwest so it wouldn’t be that hard for you to visit St Louis.
As your newly appointed (😃 by me) spiritual director, I would say…don’t make any definite plans until you have met with Rosalind.
 
One more suggestion for Klyde and anyone else who is seriously interested in the new community:

The Pacific time for Roz is 3:00PM Would that be 5:00 in the Midwest? If you don’t have Cathlic radio in your area just click on the Listen button here at Catholic Answers on the Net.

Try to call her early…even try to get in before the show starts if that is possible. I noticed that the last time she was on there were many callers waiting for her before the phone lines were officially opened up. That’s probably why the questions were not about her new community. She wants nuns to “flood” the country. I suggest all of you prospects “flood” her line and ask about her community next Wednesday. :extrahappy:
