You call them your way and I’ll call them mine. I don’t believe in fighting, and I don’t pick fights. I am, on behalf of my God fearing family, simply and expressing a SIMPLE viewpoint of ours. As for what you said, only a meany would say that. So those people that put them to death only get a meager salary, but they do get medals. Believe you me, I don’t want to start a fight. 🙂

How do you know so much 'bout the ones that ain’t tax exempt?

I don’t mean to get your dander up. Why do you want to hate me so much? That sounds like what Anime Zuba and Chris 90 said.
(sigh) Take care, dude.
Medals?

If you don’t want to get people’s dander up, why do you say the thing you do?

When you suggest that executioners get medals you come across as someone deliberately baiting people with an opinion different from yours.

When you say, “I am, on behalf of my God fearing family, simply and expressing a SIMPLE viewpoint” you imply that OUR families aren’t God-fearing.

Whatever. Just one last thing: do the people that put the convicted to death go to heaven without repenting when they die?

The same place soldiers and police officers who kill in the line of duty go – to heaven. They have committed no sin in doing their duty.

P. S.: Do revenger muderers go to special collages and schools to learn how to do lehal injections and other death methods? How much do they get paid? Do they get medals?
Medical Technicians who are responsible for preparing and administering lethal injections are not murderers. A murderer is someone who takes an innocent life for some type of personal benefit. The people are executing the will of the state, which the Church has declared to have the right to execute convicted felons. You need to grow up dude, read the catechism before you come in here venting your uninformed, emotionally lopsided dribble.

As you wish But while they may be monsters on the outside, inside, they’re still human; they’re only monsters when devils possess them. Someone on the forum once told me that if you cannot see God and Jesus in the face of a sinner like Scotty or whatever sinner, how can you see the face of God and Jesus in the face of the poor? That same person said that both were in need.
Devil’s huh? Maybe the US can petition the Vatican to start an exorsist training camp here so we can staff all of the prisons in America with exorcists to rid these poor felons of the demons that are plague them, so they can return to be happy productive citizens. Or, maybe in court they should plead, “No guilty - the devil made me do it.”

Then I suppose we should deny thse said felons to right to a defense attroney, law or no law, and just have a persecutiong lawyer (pardon the spelling), and dney those earmaked for revenger murder, any chance of repentance, let alone, even last rites, not to mention EVEN a chaplin. For that matter, all chaplins should be expelled from all death row places, and all convicted already dead shouldn’t even get buried, not even get a funeral ceremony, not even with benefit of clergy, just cramated, and their ashes dumped in a junkyard or in a cement mixer. How ‘bout instead of injection, how bout burning them to a stake, like The Inquisition, or cutting them alive till they bleed with big buzzsaws? IIt seems it’s what everyone wants, these days, a American Roman Coloseaum type slaughter for the masses, with the media getting first honors. What’s next, televised death seesions? Parades for the med techs and juors and judges so they can meet the victims’ loved ones who were waiting to thank them personally? It’s all too much?

Might not be a bad idea. By the by, where’d you get the devil icon?

But do those people go to collages for that? Why not have these tech meet the loved ones of the victims so they can thank them personally, and get medals, just like the soldiers of the armed forces? Besides, I am 40.

But I asked someone in the apologetics in repentance is important to get to heaven, they said it was. No repentantce, no heaven. If I was a soldier or a police officer, I’d repent in a flash and renounce my job in favor of something better, believe you me, even if it means facing martyrdom from my superiors. I don’t want to be barred from heaven without repentance.

They do not need to repent because it’s not a sin.
No repentance, no heaven. There’s other sins they may have committed like cursing with some of the 14 words one must never say.

And if your job was selling shoes, or doing heart-lung transplants, would you repent that as well?

These are not proper arguments – the logical fallacy you are employing is called “begging the question.”

To prove to us that all killing is wrong, you first have to get us to accept your initial premise. That’s what the opening sentence in your post means – an implication that by fighting for our country, we have somehow sinned.

What sophistry!!

But at least you admit they don’t need to go to confession for doing their duty.

I have been very charitable to you… You can’t say anything about the job these wonderful people do unless you do it yourself. You don’t know what they deal with or what they go through. It is not your place to judge. You should be praiseing those people for doing a job that keeps you safe!

A typical holier-than-thou tactic. They can’t make a logical argument for their position, so they use sophistry and offensive remarks.

By the way 777, out of curiosity… What do you think of St. Michael (the patron Saint of Police Officers by the way) or any of the other Saints that are defenders of the faith?
