I wouldn’t call Penny from Big Bang Theory particularly bright, ambitious or practical. Many other female characters might be all three, but are presented with drastic character flaws that make them deeply unattractive even so - alcoholics, bedhoppers, manipulators, backstabbers and the like.

I strongly disagree with your bolded statement. I already described to you how you and I are both feminist in the sense that we are both against oppressing women. I think it is safe to say that the vast majority of Catholics feel the same way as you and I.

Perhaps you missed my post earlier, but I can’t watch videos on my netbook. It’s too slow. Do you disagree that the vast majority of Catholics feel the same way as you and I, Nimzovik?

So do you mean to say you’d be yelling and screaming at me? Isn’t that kind of mean and childish?

After all, sounds like we basically agree on where women should stand in society… we just disagree on semantics used.

I advocate the same type of feminism as JPII did. I think women should be allowed to vote, and get equal pay, and have all the same opportunities in life. I think they should be seen as people, not as property or as objects.

I imagine you must feel the exact same way.

Was he accusing me of yelling and screaming? If so, I totally misunderstood. I thought he simply meant that yelling and screaming was not what he was doing, I didn’t realize he was accusing me of it.

Were you accusing me of yelling and screaming at you? If so, why would you think I’ve been doing that? I haven’t been capitalizing and underlining and bolding everything.

I’ve reread what was said and I think what he was saying is that his typeface was just his style and if it’s defined as yelling and screaming, that’s not his definition, but others.

I apologize.

So I assumed he was referring to tone of voice, which is why I asked if all that stuff meant he was yelling at me. But I don’t know. I am sooo confused now. Nimzovik needs to come back and clear this up… but he’s MIA!!

So often we hear ad nauseum about sexism against women but rarely do we ever give men a chance to get out what aggravates us. God made man and woman equal in value but different. We have lots of work like Bs. John PII’s work on “the Feminine Genius” but hear little good about men. I would like to use this forum for men (and women) to air what is good about men and how men face sexism.

We had a forum in the past about men’s rights that got closed so lets try to avoid a repeat of that if possible.

As a guy, I’m not too phased, about this type of feminism. The woman sounds like an idiot and I wouldn’t be surprised if she majored in the humanities. Humanities tend to produce people that think alike … it’s like a paper mill … rather useless for the brain.
