Josie, we are nowhere near the end. There could be thousands more generations after us. Nobody needs this in this world… Didn’t Jesus speak out against the pharisees when they wanted to stone an adulterous woman -asking which ones among them were without sin? Why then should we not rebuke the Islamists who believe it is okay to kill over sin?How horrible, however, I still don’t see the reason why we should draw pictures of Mohammed, there are no reasons to do so unless you are intending to mock and that I believe would be disadvantageous, i.e., if we want Muslims to realize that Jesus is the " the truth, the way, and the life" than we should exemplify or rather emulate Him.
p.s. I can see how doing so would bring a sort of immediate vindictive satisfaction, especially in light of what some Muslims do to Christians in the Middle East, but in the end it will only result in their suffering not ours.
…This is much, much more than mere drawings. This is total opposition to Islamic totalitarianism, sharia law, and Islamic violence altogether. We all need to stand in unity, as a global community against Islamic violence, in all of its forms. We must show it, denounce it, and rid the world of it permanently… Or it will be assumed that it belongs here… It doesn’t.
