My apologies then, I just did not get that from your response.Liza, I was asked if I thought hell was a Catholic free zone. And I merely responded with I don’t judge who is in hell. I have been told previously I face hell if I didn’t repent missing Mass on a weekday Nov 1 because in my diocese the bishop declares it an obligation while in other dioceses in the universal Church it is not. And I’ve had discussions regarding Church statements in CCC 846 and Lumen Gentium about “could not be saved”.
I understand “facing hell” might not equate to judging one to hell however. And still not sure if “could not” equates to “can not” or not. But if you took my words of not judging who is in hell as to imply someone else is doing this, you mistook my words for something they were not meant to be. I understand it happens however on internet forums. I was merely answering the question presented to me as to whether I thought hell was free of Catholics by answering with I am not going to judge who is in hell. I hope this helps. God bless you and peace.
