I am just wondering how long it will be before this people take the Church to court and try to force them to recognize the “ordination”.

Who would they take to court? There is no legal entity called the Catholic Church- in a legal and financial perspective the dioceses and religious orders are autonomous of the Holy See. They would have to go after each individual diocese in the United States and then the courts would end up arguing over doctrine, which infringes on the separation of Church and State, no matter how you look at it.

From a doctrinal perspective, John Paul II issued an infallible decree repeating the perpetual teaching of the Church on this issue- it is not within the power of the Church to ordain women to the priesthood. The Church has spoken.

May God continue to bless Archbishop Burke, and to bless the Archdiocese of Saint Louis with his leadership.

The ACLU will find a way to further pervert the law.

“It’s a typically hierarchical form of intimidation, and we will not be intimidated,” McGrath said.

So as a “pastor”, she would not lay down any laws to her “congregation”? —KCT

“It means you are no longer a Catholic in good standing, that by your very own decision you have chosen to separate yourself from the church,” Meehan said. "But we are disobeying an unjust law that discriminates against women.

Discriminates against women??? Hogwash…I don’t hear men scream that the feel discriminate against because they can’t birth childern. Women and men are natural different.

Note the ages of these women… 67 and 69.

Guess what, ladies? The future of the Church belongs to the orthodox faithful, not the greying heretics of the sexual revolution! 😛

 i just don’t get people like this.

How can she *NOT *see the contradiction in these two statements?

If you don’t recognize the authority of the Pope and the Magisterium in these matters, you do not consider yourself a Catholic and are separating YOURSELF from the Church.

I am just always at a loss at how people who don’t recognize or reject the Church’s authority still want to remain Catholic. If you don’t believe the Church has the authority to teach the truth, or if you don’t believe the Church teaches the truth accurately, WHY would you stay in it as a member??? Why not leave and find a Church that DOES teach the truth?

That’s why I left the Lutheran Church – because I ceased believing in its ability to teach the authentic, authoritative truth.

Amen!! The young, orthodox orders are growing - praise God!

Exactly. The Summer of Love strikes again.

Fortunately, the time of these kinds of people is just about over. The future lies with huge numbers of kids and young adults who have an attachment to the Tridentine Mass and tradional Catholic piety, not aging hippies who only know how to protest and dissent.

If I read it right, someone above said He would do what Rome would not do? Rome or Burke does not have to do anything because by the actions you take make you excommunicated. The other that have all gone down this road are just as excommunicated as if Burke does declare them so. I see him doing what the other bishops in Pittsburg and over in Germany did is give them the warning that is required by canon law.

We can start the trail burnings before mass. 😃

Praise be to God! Its about time somebody stood up to such heretics! 👍

👍 😃 Love it. And believe it or not I am one of the graying sexual revolution babies that stand behind the young orthodox kids. We’re not all liberals.😉
